    Interesting development, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-isle-of-man-51974140

I’d stick one or two other transgressors in there with him. They can play Russian Roulette together, and ponder the error of their ways.

also if you do get sick on site, looks like the club has abdicated all responsibiity just call 111 and let the warden know. What is the warden going to do, don his bio suite and come to your aid, I think not, probably lock themselves in the office

    Thanks, Ina.

What can I say? Did he really say to call 111 if you fall ill on site and does he not realise the problem getting supermarket delivery slots?

Have you seen my post at 14.01 today in Stay or Go? What our MP says applies to the whole country and either he is wrong or the club is flying in the face of official advice.

I’m sorry, and I know it’s a very serious situation, but I am collapsing in laughter at the image of a yellow spot in reception showing visitors where to stand in the office....only the Club could have come up with this one!🤣 OH wants to know if it has an L and an R so that folks park their feet the right way round! 😉

Well thanks for the link. I watched the video with TOTAL disbelief 😱.

Our membership expires this month and were not renewing because of health issues and selling our motorhome. I haven't ruled out buying another in due course. However I'm seriously delighted that 8 can distance myself from such bizarre announcements in the future. And we wonder why some folk moan about our hobby - from now on I expect most not some to decry our hobby if they get to see this.

    I despair 😢😤

Thanks Ina, I didn't have time earlier to look for the video message as there was no link to it on the e mail.

I see Haven are closing their sites today. It is a very bad time for all businesses but then it's a bad time for anyone who contracts this awful virus and I think the idea is to try and prevent it spreading.

Nothing else to say on this thread. Both clubs will no doubt be forced to close sites soon but I'd rather see them doing it voluntarily for the good of everyone concerned.

That’s a ridiculous thing to say. You are simply trying to score points in a serious issue.

I would think most who post on here can be quite receptive of any different views, the problem arises ,( with this latest very dangerous for some virus),the different view,    must be at this time, a sensible alternative view, and as yet not seen any from your posts

A bit off topic, but at the Vets today I used the desktop placed sanitizer when I arrived, it was 'stickied' to the desk because some customer had made the previous one disappear surprisedfrown

     BEWARE

Many problems are occurring around the worries of Covid -- 19.

I've just received an e-mail from Cheshire Constabulary via a respected member of the local Home Watch. It was sent originally by  Daniel Millington  (Cheshire Police / Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Media Officer Corporate Communications  )

Many Low Lifes are busy Scamming away out there  == Watch your Step !!

On line orders for Protective Face Masks, Sanitiser etcetera which cost too much but never arrive "ACTION FRAUD " has received over 200 reports of these scams.

As I said Please BEWARE !!

Not sure about the yellow spot in the reception that you have to stand on, what happens if you are 'hard of hearing', will they use a megaphone!!

I have spent all day cancelling/re-adjusting the planned trips we have for the year but I still can't decide if it is right or wrong to go. I have tried to look at the risk of going on site and feel that in the overall picture it is a minimum risk compared to other alternatives, but I could be wrong.

I've generally stayed out of this thread as I can't add anything new to it that hasn't already been said but I would like to thank Ina for the link to the video of Nick Lomas.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry but did know to feel embarrassed.

I hope he's checked that the clubs Public and Employers Liability Insurance policies are still in force.

I am still dithering.  There are 7 of us here.  Three key workers in amongst them.  Our daughter is still working at her school, and I think she is our biggest risk.  Grandson works in TV news so will be working, possibly in London some of the time.  I have booked a week for next week.  See how it goes, if one of them comes down when we are away then we will stay there if we can.

Millie8 I do think that you are being very irresponsible.

If you are insistent on carrying on then I think the very least you should do is to self isolate before you go anywhere. You may unwittingly be a carrier especially as you admit to having people around you who could quite easily come down with the virus.

Yep, stop dithering, Millie, time to cancel in my opinion. WN is right and you could be a carrier. You'd not be welcome to stay near me.

Where would you suggest I self isolate?  I haven't left the house since we were told over 70's should isolate for 3 months.

I've just found this on the visit Cumbria website:

    Coronavirus advice for visitors
In a region famous for fresh air tourism, the Lake District is one of the safest areas to visit for holidays during the current COVID-19 coronavirsus outbreak.

If you have family members in high risk groups (such as elderly and/or with underlying health issues) and are anxious about coronavirus during your holidays, you could book self catering accommodation to minimise social situations. Otherwise, there is no greater risk on holiday in Cumbria than at home, possibly less.

I am not making any statement about the rights or wrong of this, I'm just posting it. Also most holiday homes have similar statements to this:

Will I receive a refund if I want to cancel my holiday?

At the moment the government hasn’t imposed any travel restrictions within the UK and we are not currently offering refunds. We will allow affected customers to amend their holiday should they wish to, please find our amendment policy here

Thanks TW, I've just read it.

Your MP is right; weeks ago lots of people of Madrid travelled in droves to coast and countryside, and look what that resulted in - lockdown!

It beggars belief that people think it's ok to travel where they want and I can't believe CAMC is even encouraging it.
