Each to there own, we like Winter touring, very easy to get a few spontaneous nights out in MH. We have been tied up with some big home projects these last few weeks, but plans are being made. Little matter of a week in a cottage with Mum to deal with first (not a chore😁) and then we hope to be out after.
We don’t rely upon Club Sites in Winter, there are simply not enough stay open, and those that do don’t always appeal or are too far away. But this is where the AS sites, CLs and small private sites are a huge bonus. Lots with superb Winter touring facilities including big hard standings or wet weather park ups. It has been exceptionally wet as well so far, for last three months. Ground is simply not drying out at all.

We live in about the driest part of the UK? Before Xmas this area was in drought conditions, ,but when out with Rosa , many of the fields and meadows (we still have some) -are like walking on spongees ,a spring that has not been active since before this town was started , 100yrs this year , is still now active,

I still think some of you are missing my original point. Most of the damage is done because people don’t think or don’t care seems they are in a hurry to get the pitch they want before someone else gets it. All it needs is to stop assess the situation then act like an adult not a bull at a gate. The same when leaving get caravan on the road then hitch up don’t drive car over the grass opposite then drag caravan across the corner. All I ask is we act like responsible adults not spoilt children who have to do things there way. Sat here know in beautiful sun shine who wants to be at home on a day like this.

I beg to differ. I think you assume people are careless and/or stupid. While this will undoubtedly be true in some cases, you make no allowance for other factors. You are making assumptions and generalising.
