Bailey Cabrera 2019 cushions
Has anybody else had a problem with the seat cushions in as much as they collapse so much that yoy may as well be sitting on the slats for all the support they give
I have taken this up with, Bailey and Bellfield the manufacturer Bailey referred me to Bellfield who say they are made to Bailey's spec.
If so how have you managed to resolve the problem

We had exactly the same problem with our 2015 Barcelona - so things haven't improved, although I thought they were now advertised as having interior sprung seat bases?
I raised this with our dealer as a warranty issue and whilst they were willing to change them, it would have been on a like-for-like basis, so we would have been back to square one in no time.
I took the seat cushions to a local upholstery firm who specialise in caravans and was told that it was a common problem across all makes. When they took out the foam, it was very lightweight and of a sort of honeycomb construction, so there was virtually no support.
They re-filled them with top-grade upholstery foam - cost me £250 and was done in 48 hours but the problem was sorted once and for all. The only downside was that the seat bases were inevitably much heavier than previously.
Our new Knaus has interior sprung seat bases - very comfortable and no flattening - even after two or three weeks away - so some manufacturers can get it right.

Yes I am working with the the caravan dealer as Bailey refused to talk about it. Another case of the manufacturer putting out a product of poor quality then hiding behind the immortal words but it is as per spec.
It looks like we are going to be going down the replacement foam route maybe with the help of our dealer

The first caravan we bought ,(after a dabble with the dark side) was an Elddis that gave us problems from the start (what pdi?)and dealer not helpful ,so had a trip to the NEC show, ,and "spoke" to the staff on the Elddis stand,,we then got as a "gesture of goodwill"from Elddis, who agreed to pick up the bill for remedial work at another closer to home dealer, by your Avatar you seem a long way from there, but it did pay to have a chat,face to face,
ps we got rid of the elddis soon after ,to the Bailey and Coachman dealer that got paid to rectify the many problems, we are now on our second Bailey with only minor, soon rectified,problems not with the build but with bought in fitted equipment ,one widow and the Dometic tall fridge,on our Pegasus

Cheap, nasty, short life foam and upholstery fabrics bedevil today’s UK outfits, with a few exceptions. It’s a cost saver for the manufacturers churning out hundreds of outfits. Find a decent foam supplier and choose the best grade for what want. Should last a long time then and give you the comfort you want.

Friends of ours had a 2019 Bailey same problem with the seating again dealer and Bailey not interested, they also had an issue with the axles after a long debate they have now got a new Swift twin axle with extra weight capacity and so far no problems and the seating is great to sit on when we met with them in December last year at Black Knowl.
We have a much older caravan now and it suits us seating good for its age, if we changed for a newer one again it would probably be an Adria as we have had Adria before.

It may well be that as posted by others when they hahve had cushions redone with higher grade foam interiors, they are heavier, which leads me to think that it is more,weight saving? than cheaper reasons ,which seems to have backfired,, if i go to the show next week i may just try the Bailey seats to see if although, they say ,as most do, that they were to spec,whether they have had more than just the OPs problem ,and as it states in the small print,specs may change, to "improve"the product,
There is always the "not fit for purpose" route to try

We had the same problem with a Bailey Unicorn Seville. Bit the bullet and had Belfield replace the foam for sprung interior. Have had them before in older vans. Good service from Belfield and good price, and most importantly a massive improvement in comfort. Well worth it.

We have the same issue with our Challenger. It’s been reported to the dealer, but they need photographic evidence to put in a warranty claim. We’ll hopefully be away next week, so will take pics then. Even if they’re replaced, I very much doubt it will resolve the issue, as it will be like for like. I’m pretty sure it’ll cost me to get it sorted, properly.

Our van is now 12 years old, a Swift Group Sterling Searcher. When it was new we had a few problems, nothing serious, including the Alde heating, and the front seat cushions going flat.These were sprung cushions.
Swift provided new ones and they have been OK since. Have you been on SwiftTalk and asked Swift about the problem Freddy?
