Spare wheel / tyre

A couple of points to add. If you have alloy wheels on the caravan and have a steel spare you may need different wheel nuts. It is criminal that those manufacturers who supply a spare wheel do not usually provide a jack. The advice is that any jack used should be under the axle and not the chassis, making it very difficult to get a jack in position let alone jack it up. It seems the chassis is not strong enough. The answer is to attach jacking brackets (Kojak or Alco to name but two) to the side of the chassis. Once attached they provide a safe fixing of a bottle or scissor jack.
