I thought it was rather offensive to other posters…

will second all of this, i started on CT primarily to find some info re touring on the EU continent and i was given/found some very useful information for which i am very grateful. Sadly for me now CT is very boring, probably because many topics are repeated time after time, e.g. am traveling to Spain/Portugal any tips, probably if search engine was somewhat better we would not have so many repeat requests.
I think the main contributors to CT are predominatly the old guard still repeating the same information as given many moons ago, and posts drag on for days often full of useless info, bickering, or discussing a wish item that will forever be a wish item because the club have no intention of making it a reality, occasionally you glean some good/useful info, will no doubt continue to browse CT, but with the WWW being so comprehensive it is often quicker and easier to search for site reviews etc using this medium rather than just the club site.
I notice also very little input/reaction from the club
Still i got my Esso fuel card via info on CT...£1.26 per ltr diesel this week, just saved myself a couple of quid, and oh how i remember that particular post dragging on for weeks and weeks, so many peddlers of doom

One of the objectives of the club is to promote social interaction (see the Articles of Association.) Personally, apart from some of the earlier less than friendly interactions on here due to lack of guidelines and the inability of some to have empathy with some sections of society I think CT has been a benefit to those who use it. The frequent calls from the CAMC to "keep it friendly" are the rules most of us attempt to follow.

Surely not, didn't see it so I'm very surprised if that's the case, I've always found M's posts understanding and tolerant of other points of view.
Now, back on track, maybe a radical change is needed to the format of CT, some fine suggestions have been made, ones I've liked in thread!

+1, same offensive two words as previously Deleted User posts by the same poster, sorry but it has to be said.

it's quite easy - don't be offensive?

One you didn’t see it. I did and I fully expected it to be Deleted User. Obviously, I can’t explain why.

Not at all. But as said if Merve gets in contact with Ro then he would find out why.

Merve, I found one particular section of your post offensive and, as I'm sure you well know, the two words in question were not 'off grid'.
1 -
You can’t possibly think I’m going to repeat it, surely?

You have misunderstood, Freddy. The offensive bit was a two word phrase as was mentioned earlier. You are jumping to the same conclusion as others.

Are they?

No I am not and I resent that implication.
If you didn’t read the post then you have no idea what I’m talking about and I cannot spell it out. I’m afraid you’ll have to keep wondering.

London, Paris, Rome - see I took your advice
no, I never mentioned 'hard nosed business' or indeed any phrase at all so I have no idea where you dreamed that up from? If you read my posts carefully you will read that I actually only mentioned 'same offensive two words' (and hard nosed business is three), Merve has used these two word before and those posts too have been Deleted User.

Merve being deliberately offensive? Implausible IMHO. Posting stuff that doesn't fit with CAMC touring policy? Highly probable.
If anyone cares to E mail me with the offending text, my address is available in my profile. I can then form a more informed assessment.

For the record, that ‘anyone’ will not be me.
