Hi everyone,

Just to let you know the more environmentally-friendly issue of the February Caravan and Motorhome Club Magazine in a paper wrapper (replacing the old plastic covering) will be delivered a few days later than normal. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

    Huskypup,

Several of the 'monthly mags' that I receive have dumped envelopes or wrappers entirely ! They arrive as naked as jaybirds  embarassed pop thro' my letterbox and are normally read within the day -- with no need for drying, roasting or toasting whatsoever . So your paws should be quite safe !!wink

I was wondering why the magazine is going to be a few days late . Maybe the powers that be haven't harvested enough spuds to convert to starch .😀😀.

Great news. No need to take it out of the wrapper to recycle with the leaflets falling out. Far neater, Wish C&CC had gone the same route instead of a compostable wrapper.

As a member of the Radio Society of Great Britain I have been receiving their  club magazine  in a Bio-degradable wrapper for some time, I understand that the RSGB has about 22,000 members  compared with the C&MC which has some 700,000.

I can accept that the change in packaging may have delayed the physical copy. However, why is the even more environmentally friendly digital copy not available?

Cannot see the problem with the compostable wrapper, it can go straight into our green bin.

At least the CCC have upped their game and produce a quality magazine - if only the CAMC could match that!

Quality is in the eye of the beholder.

Are you saying that the CAMC magazine is better than the CCC offering?

No ,or worse, they are both  normally more adverts than interesting reading, but then adverts keep costs of publication  downtongue-out

Thank you for the information Ro.  I know the external wrap of the magazine is something the Club have been thinking about for a while.

    Hi SteveL,

Just to let you know you can opt out of receiving paper comms from the Club and we do have a digital version of the magazine if you prefer:

    www.caravanclub.co.uk/blog/club-magazine/archive/

We also have the magazine app which you can download from the Android Play Store and Apple App Store

more information on the Club magazine can be found here: club-magazine

    I hope this helps. smile

Two problems for me there, Rowena. That link to the archive doesn't work, and for me neither does the magazine app. I've downloaded to my Android phone and tablet but all I get on both is the club logo. I was hoping the 2018 TCOY supplement would be on there.

    Anyone else having these problems?

    Hi

Try copying and pasting the url for the archive. It should work then. Otherwise try this link - https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/blog/club-magazine/archive/

I'm not sure why you are experiencing problems using the App. When did you last try and what phone/tablet did you use?

Rowena's link doesn't work for me but you can go into the membership section at the top of the page and click on the "magazine" which will take you to this area >LINK<

Ah, this link doesn't work either!! But try the membership section for all the details.

edit That's strange it is working now, there was a delay.

Thanks SMH,  your link does work!
