Portable satellite on tripod recommendations pse
We have been looking at portable satellite systems where the dish is on a tripod. In particular the Quicksat QS65 and the vuesat model designed to easily tune in using Avtex tv. I’m struggling to find reviews online. Does anyone use either of these? Or another one that you can recommend? We liked the fact the above models seem compact and all in a bag. Would really appreciate some guidance, we are looking at UK and France use.

have no experience of this model and others may help but one point i would mak is that this looks like a 65cm model which will stop pulling in uk channels around a latitude of La Rochelle...
if you went for the 85cm model (if there is one) this would enable BBC etc to be received in pretty much all of France down to the med.
also, if you set the LNB skew angle correctly this will eke out a few more miles south.
good luck.

Thanks for that tip, it seems they do have a larger model. I will see if anyone replies with experience of these particular brands to see if they are pleased with them (or not 🥺)

We don't have either of the 2 models in the OP's post but we do have an 85cm dish on a tripod. Been using it for years with not issues, the TV we have is a Cello (similar to Avtex) has a built in free sat tuner so its just a case of setting up the dish and tripod to Astra 28.2, attach the cable to the tv and then tune the tv into Astra 28.2
Works for us all over France and if you have a Sky+ box you will even get some of the channels just over the border into Spain, no BBC or ITV though,
