Later in the year I have to be in the Crewe area so would like recommendations for good CLs within about 20 miles of the town centre as I have to be at the station earlish in the morning.  Thanks in advance

I fancy this one when next in the area. Guess that there must be several closer than this one 14 miles away. https://www.welltroughcaravansite.co.uk/

Do you need to use Crewe station direct or could you use a connecting train service?

We've stayed at Hollins Green Farm CL, north of Crewe. Might be one or two that are nearer.

Living in the Town I've absolutely no idea of good / bad / indifferent local CL's   Oneputt  thus My knowledge of use will be purely with respect to accessing the Station itself !   SO :--

Will you be arriving by car or similar --  if so how long will you be here ? There are several Car Parks (  £ £ £ ) in close proximity where you will not have far to walk.  Taxi  &  Bus Stops right on the Station Forecourt but beware the roundabout between  B & Q, Crewe Arms Hotel, Petrol Station leading to the Bus stop  --  It Can Be an horrendous road block  !!

With more Info I'll be able to help a little more I think

( Remember the old joke  --   You're going where  ?? ooooo If I were you I'd not start from 'ere mate   )

We were going to stay at The Willows CL on the way back from East Anglia in October but headed to Shrewsbury instead. The Willows has a separate commercial site next door. It's about 10 miles to Crewe station.

The CL can be found under Nantwich in SD.

That should be fine then OP,  easy enough access & cheap at twice the price  wink

But puleeese don't go looking for that thing Naughty Moulesy is on ablout --  you'd need a 4 x 6 to get on / off that --It's the pitch on which the Mighty Alex perform - I was going to say play but ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,,

The willows and overwater marina are both decent and are mixes of 5 van sites and commercial. I would not recommend towing through Audlem as it is narrow and twisted.  For parking use Crewe Alexandra car park. Last year I think it was £4 all day and a short walk to the station.
