tried the map on the website (not the app) and it was a bit slow, but usable. ive had the app in the past and may add it to my account.
we dash to Spain in two weeks time, till Easter, and will be taking in a fair bit of the east and south coast, finishing up by exiting Spain via the border near Argeles, exploring a bit near Girona, L'estartit on the way....been meaning to get there for a good while.
late summer means finally (we hope) getting the van to Italy (not sure yet of route) for a few weeks and finishing the trip with a couple of weeks with pals in Le Sud.
middle of the year will be 'school running' so trips limited to shorter uk ones.

Sorry to hear that DD. We won't be going until mid April with the van but before that we have 3 weeks in Lanzarote, so should have the tans well on the way by the time we go to Spain
Autumn/Winter will hopefully see us back in Spain, as to the summer (if we get one) who knows, probably Scotland, short trips here and there between the DIY and gardening.
We use the Acsi books more than the app but OH has it on his phone just in case.

We live a bit east of central region DD so the little devils are not normally a problem here thankfully, as the OH suffers with them.
April through to end of June is the best time to visit to avoid them if going to the west.
Madeira sounds a great idea

Hi All, I have in the past used the app but with improvements re data use and network coverage if I do need to look at info when away usually just go to the Camping Card website.
2020 availability was on the website a few days ago and already been looking at options, one was a few days on Pin Parasol on the way home but its not ACSI in 2020, and will be posting shortly asking for recommendations for Annecy, an area we have not visited before.
Time constraints, and the Bavarian holidays, have conspired against Italy In early June so maybe 2021!
BB-re route to Italy our friends have a 42 tonne Autotrail and we did the route via the Fern and Reisa passes, which is toll free, to avoid then having to use a GoBox.

We have become quite lazy and use ACSI sites extensively. My Club Continental touring books are several years out of date and the app makes life very easy. Love the maps and the reviews; much easier to use than the ACSI books which have a somewhat bizarre indexing system with site identification numbers changing every year.

i paid for the aires last uear and was a bit disapponted as there were far fewer than those presented by Campingcar-infos or Park4night, which i tent to use extensively.
i also have all the latest lists on my satnav so plenty of access to stopping points.
