Just been looking at portable small gas BBQ's and they seem to say they want 37 mb pressure when the caravan out fit these days is only 30mb for the "new" standards. I know all the theory about gas and pressures thanks but would like to hear from people who are using a bbq that the spec says 37mb. How are you getting on?

Thanks

My understanding of the 30mB standard is that it encompasses 28mb for Butane and 37mB for Propane for portable uses, eg caravan,  50mB regulation is used in fixed installations.

It does seem a bit strange. We have been using a safari chef 1 on our caravan, now MH supply for the last 8/9 years and it has worked fine, using propane. However, just had a look at the specs for the safari chef 2 and they specify 28 - 30 for butane and 37 for propane, for Great Britain.

However, with the same jet the specification, for butane, propane or a mix thereof is 28 - 30, for France.🤔

Then i would suggest that the pressures you get via your LVs supply would be fine, the Max is what should not be exceeded

We have Cadac Grillo Chef2 and it works fine on our 2017 caravan outlet.  Cooks well.  No noticeable difference from when we use it on a dedicated propane regulator at 37mb.
