If you've been to the Chatsworth site you'll have seen Ducks and pheasants wandering around in their dozens.

I managed to avoid hitting them as I slowly drove round to park up - but does everyone?

I wonder how many finish up as Canard a l'Orange or Pheasant pie  - I'll ask the Wardens tomorrow.

cool

Don’t get me started on the ethics of Pheasant shooting. Spent a week up in North Yorkshire, the roads were carnage. Most of the birds were so young , many hadn’t even grown their tail feathers, poor things.

    Who mentioned shooting them ?

This is a C&MC site and there are rules that stop you using a loaded shotgun on this site  - although the bloke pratting about this afternoon parking his caravan for five minutes in front of me was pretty close to getting both barrels ........

Could I just say that the bloke pratting about was the same bloke who booked in as a 6 metre caravan and was actually a twin axle and 8 metres at least.

    Excommunicated  ?

    surprised

I had a chat with one of the Wardens and he said he'd found three dead ducks, hit by vehicles not dying of old age, this year but the Ducks weren't in any condition to be used for culinary purposes.
