Camping Le Capeyrou Beynac-et-cazanac in France

We are thinking of booking this site in France where there are pitches by the dordogne river or service pitches further back.  We would love to book a pitch overlooking the river however there is a footpath between the pitch and the river.  Has anyone stayed on this site? If so was there any noise/disturbances from people walking along the path? What did you make of the site and village overall?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I just skimmed through the 43 reviews on UKCampsite.co.uk - nobody mentions tne footpath causing disturbance, and their other comments will answer your questions about the site and the village. It's a very popular site.

We have walked along the path adjacent to this site looks alright and it seemed quiet with folk walking along, we have stayed at Les Deux Vallees a little further away but walking distant from the village of Beynac and we had superb views of the chateau when we were there in September especially with the early morning mist about and hot air balloons going over most mornings.  Hope this helps. The site you mention is nearer to the road and does get a lot of traffic including HGV's.

We have stayed there twice, once at the front and once on the serviced pitches. No problem from the footpath - it mainly seemed to be used by peeps from the site going into the village, or the other way towards the bridge.

    Nice site.

    Thanks for the replies Guy's.

NutsyH now that you've done the riverside pitches & the serviced pitches at the back which would you book again?
