Vanity Rooms
Hello,
Looking for recommendations in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire for sites that have private vanity rooms either sink and toilet or sink toilet and shower or the very basic sink vanity room,
Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance

Most club sites will have what they call vanity cubicles, i.e. just a sink with mirror in a cubicle with a curtain but nothing more than that. I think you'd probably have to look at private sites for what you want.

Is Rutland close enough? Club site at Greetham has what they (and many other places) term "Unisex Toilets" with all three functions in one room.

Google is telling me that Ashbourne Heights Holiday Park in Derbyshire has some pitches with private en suite facilities in huts beside the pitch - but doesn't say what's actually in the huts. No doubt the site manager will tell you if you are interested.

The C&CC site at Teversal, Nottinghamshire has separate toilet compartments such as you require, Caroline.

Thank you for the nice replies, will certainly look at Rutland and the others.
privacy rooms/vanity rooms yes they are the same, its just nice to have privacy at times and we don't like the showers with just a curtain.
Yes we do have a perfect vanity room in our motorhome but seeing as though its new and we pay for the facilities we might as well use them and keep the motorhome in pristine condition!

I see them being used but as I'm an early riser (at least at the start of a stay )I have notices it is those of 'mature' years that use them.

You’d want people having strip washes, cleaning teeth, shaving etc at the hand wash basins, would you?

there are usually wash basins as well as cubicle so do we need both
I do as I do not always require a shower and prefer not to beard trim and shave at a low sink without a counter to put my gear on and prefer to shave in private. We are not in 1970's world of carry on camping now

As far as I've always understood it, the washbasins are for hand washing only, after using the 'facilities'.
Where have you got the bit about " …. don't the rules and regs of the cmc say that each unit has to have its own toilets facs even if it is a toilet tent etc." ?

I can half recall that, but it doesn't appear in the rules anywhere as far as I can see.

I've noticed that when the club does an interior refurbishment they privacy cubicles are still there, perhaps in a different place but still there.

For me the cubicles are a complete waste of time, space and money. i could have a shower in the time it would take to have half a wash in one of the cubicles.
However as i use the shower and toilet that i bought with my caravan it doesn't affect me either way, apart from maybe the cost and time it takes the wardens to clean them.

Just goes to show how different we all are. For me, the main purpose of being away in the van is to go walking/climbing. So in the morning it's a quick wash and shave (in one of the privacy cubicles - and I've rarely been the only one using them! ), breakfast and then off we go. Then a long, reviving shower when we get back later in the day. Maybe that's one of the reasons I don't remember ever having to wait for a shower to become free on a club site!n

Shhhh! you are giving away all the secrets of stress free camping .
beard , and if i have to trim beard normally do outside with electric trimmer and mirror hanging on van, clean teeth in shower, so no real need for privacy cubicle, dont know what all the fuss is about, if available then would use, but not fussed either way.
