We love Wharfedale site as the area has lots to offer in terms of walking, sightseeing and eateries. Grassington is the nearest village. It does have vacancies for Christmas week and, if you feel like paying for a day pass, you can use Long Ashes Leisure Club facilities. There's also a nice coffee lounge and pub/restaurant on their complex, all of which is within walking distance from your pitch.

We are off to Castleton, though not Christmas week a week before, they have fantastic Christmas lights l am told, good pub grub, we will be their for four nights to wind down and get ready for the hectic couple of days of christmas week. Hope you have a great time

If I was thinking about going away at Christmas, which currently I am not I think I would consider Cromer. Always fancied walking along a wind swept beach on Christmas Morning!!!

Our go to Christmas/New Year site is Lower Banks Farm CL at Huby near Harrogate. Its in a wonderful area with amazing views over the Wharfe Valley - great views for fireworks! We’re up there this New Year with family from Nottingham - can’t wait. Last Christmas it was full so book early...

Cliff Farm near Pickering. Lovely clean heated loo block, hardstandings, nice owners. Brilliant for all the festive fun on NY Moors, Pickering, Helmsley, Scarborough. Oh and Whitby😁

We passed it last week, it looked to be quite busy. It’s a popular little site, very well run. One of our Winter favourites.

Castleton used to be one of our pre Christmas treats. Easy stroll into village, and it has a very nice festive atmosphere. Best pubs are The George and the Nags Head. Great food. Make sure you visit a cavern and drive up Winnats Pass. There’s a smashing walk behind Peveril Castle up Cavedale, but it can be very wet! (as in the footpath becomes a river!😂)
Downside is Club has only a pathetic dog walk, and the fields will be muddy. Too expensive now for us, we go elsewhere. But it’s day out distance for us.

Takethedogalong, we do Castleton couple of times a year as its not far for us, like you said nice walk to the village great pubs especially the George eat their quite often, as for the price don't think £50 for 3 nights is bad, toilet block and site is superb, everything we want for few days break

We went to Henley on Thames last year, first year away in Motorhome at that time of year, went 27th came home 31st it was lovely. We had some great sunny days and had some lovely walks along the river.
This year we are going to Broadway again 27th but staying for NYE
Looking forward to it, find it very relaxing being in the van and so cosy in the evenings

We are going to York just after Christmas. It’s only 45 minutes from home, likely to be a touch quieter after all fuss before Christmas. We just want to do a few Museums, bit of riverside bike riding. All dependent upon how much rain we might get of course! Booked it provisionally months ago. 😁
