Verona is not far from many of the sites on the southern end of Lake Garda. We drove from Cisano when we visited Verona.

We stayed several times at Camping Romeo e Giulietta at Verona when we we were going to the opera performances in the Roman arena - but that was many years ago and as that campsite has vanished from the radar I assume it has closed. The town tourist office will advise you on that.

There is also Camping Castel San Pietro in the very city centre - a wonderful location - but nothing much bigger than a VW Camper can squeeze in there so no use to you. Nor is the sosta (Aire) in the town , which is for motorhomes only.

Google is showing me several Agricampeggio campsites near Verona - some of them look and sound good,  and if I ever went to Verona again I would pick one of those, but I doubt if you will find anyone on here who has tried them.

So failing all that it's Lake Garda as DK suggested.

Sunday is quite a good day to visit as there is usually lots going on but its not as busy as week days so parking could be a bit easier.

It’s a bit industrial around Verona from what I recall. We stayed on Garda and drove in for the Opera. Parking was OK.
