Caravan & Motorhome Club site prices

The point is club sites prices are what they are, you get the final price before booking and even if you have pressed book by mistake or are fuming about the price for days afterwards, then cancel it. What could be simpler?
Writing about it on CT will not achieve anything. Unless of course it makes you feel better?
Book another site, after all we are told that there are better and cheaper sites out there than the club so just go there. But of course when you do make sure you post back on CT to say so and make yourselves feel even better and a have a gloat too, although to who and why and what you are gloating about is beyond me but you seem to want to do it? It certainly doesn't do anything for me, I'm happy exactly where I am and what I have paid for it,
No one is forced to come onto a club site, but it appears a great many do, and then there there appears a great number on here who want to use club sites but want them at much cheaper prices for some reason. Sorry but as I said, these are the prices, book or don't book.
Back to my wine now and to enjoy the sunset in the awning.

wow, what a 'rant', Corners (remember using that one, to me, yesterday?)
anyway, we enjoyed our wine and sunset without an awning
but then, we aren't on a 'club site' so are obviously missing something
oh yes, half the fee....

Well play the man and not the ball BB and attack my awning and site use if you must rather than argue logically against my points, but if you read my post (way back) I did not actually say you were having a rant at all, only others before you. I suppose mantra might have been a better word. But apologies if you thought I would say that about you.
Glad to know you're having a great time at whatever cost but as I said before I can't understand those who like to post they are supposedly paying less than me.
I have decided to pay club site prices for what I think is a better quality product. You're happy and so am I. Why you need to tell me you're paying less is beyond my reasoning.
Anyway busy days ahead, see you all after the weekend.🙂

OTOH, in the middle of a 12 week tour 'elsewhere' we may be gagging for a full facs site where we can put our feet up by the pool for a fortnight or so but even then we don't have to stump up much more than £15 (€18).
Wish I could get that rate at the moment BB.☹️
£16.50 would be nearer the mark.

I caravanned from age 28 to age 53 without an awning David. When Fliss moved in with me we, shortly afterwards, bought a new caravan between us and Fliss thought that an awning was a good idea. We used a porch awning for about 6 years. We have not used one for the last 7 years David and don't miss it.
At present I would be physically unable to erect one without significant pain, time and rest to follow.

We have had since arriving here, several people asking about our wind out Thule awning on our caravan and quite amazed when told it is glued on,and even more so when they realise that we if needed (winter trips) that our Isabella porch awning can still be used with it

Always wanted to try that site but it is popular. They must have changed how they do business as last time I was thinking of booking they wanted full payment upfront on booking! Not far from us so would make a good short stay.

dc - you must have missed my previons post. Exactly why do you consider moving from one club site to another - as promoted as possible and a benefit to club members - to be "abusing the system"? Or was that post just there to be provocative?

I fear we’re wasting our time, M. 🙁
Strikes me it’s throw away remarks (see also ‘booking season’) without any depth of thought behind them.

+2.1 but generally wouldn't stay at a highly priced site in peak, unless it was for something specific.
just had 10 days in New Forest and staying somewhere like the Centenery site just wouldn't be on our radar....to darned expensive (at £35+) for no appreciable gain.

I agree BB but I do like to go away with family and that generally means staying on sites in peak but usually not expensive ones unless we go to Spain. Last year it was Godrevy, the year before, a tour of Wales using CSs/CLs and a THSs, this year it will be a CL on the Gower.
