Canada Rockies Camp Grounds
Hi everyone
Next month we are going to British Columbia. We are collecting an RV in Vancouver and heading off for 15 nights ending up at Calgary. Does anybody have any recommendations for camp grounds and indeed any suggestions at all that might benefit our trip?
Many thanks

Hi Deleted User
Thank you so much for getting back to us. That's such a great help.
A couple of questions if you don't mind
1. Did you go to Tofino/Ucluelet - if so any suggestions as to what to do?
What did you make of Whistler? We would like to go but we are then heading to Kelowna, then the rest of the Rockies and it seems a long way to go back from Whistler to Kelowna so we are thinking of missing out on Whistler.
I think I have read that the other Whistler, ie Camp Ground, is closed.
Thanks again and enjoy your trip when you go.

Victoria is lovely we actually enjoyed it more than Vancouver. A visit to Buchart Gardens is a day not to forget. Be pampered with afternoon tea at the Fairmont Express hotel - Posh
Would agree with comments about Whistler. Very much a winter ski resort although there is mountain biking trails for summer visits. Nothing special.
The Icefields Parkway is an interesting route to take. Lake Louise and Lake Moraine are a must see, although Lake Moraine is the more spectacular.
Banff is different. The main street is colourful with Boutiques, restaurants. A trip up Sulphur Mountain by cable car gives far reaching views from the top. whilst there a trip to lake Minnewanka (spelling is correct ) is worth a visit for a boat ride. We saw bald eagles in the treetops along the shore line.
If you are in Calgary at the time of the Calgary Stampede. The show is a must. Very expensive but not to be forgotten. It's not called the Greatest Show on Earth for nothing
We went fly drive so can't comment on touring parks. If you want a tour guide then let me know.

Hi Deleted User and harryb
Thank you for very much for your input, that's really helpful and has helped us make our minds up about Whistler which is great as we now don't have to drive so much and can better spend our time elsewhere. Happy travels
