“What it means to be part of our Club”

The think which always puzzles me, particularly in summer on the A30 is that many of them must be heading down to sites in Devon/Cornwall where they have to wait till midday or later to access pitches. So presumably they wait in those lay-bys till later in the morning with traffic rumbling past at 70 mph. Why not use a nice CL and have a leisurely morning before moving on?

Sometimes it depends on where you start from , with us we have to use the M25 where ever our destination is ,sometimes we can drive to our exit junction in an hour ,but if there are holdups then it could be 3 hours, so we generally add and hour and a half to our journey time ,meaning that we may need to loose time in a layby near to where we are staying , as we don't want to arrive before the allowed time

Probably not going to club sites just off to one of the many other holiday sites. We see quite a few parked up, people come over to the SW from the southeast overnight in our area to avoid the dreadful holiday jams on the A303 (which are about to start!) Can't say we see that many but summer time is peak time for the overnighters. A lot use the Cartgate rest area, slightly better than laybys.
edit
Join the club and use a CL!
