    AD has given you a site at Ghent and after that you could base yourselves at Camping Grimbergen on the north side of Brussels and research public transport to each of the other three towns from there.

    Certainly Antwerp central station is a destination in its own right, it's an architectural gem, so arriving there by train is a must. Antwerp is a fine city with many attractions and it's such a pity the campsite there has gone so far downhill since it was privatised about eight years ago.

    I had the aire at Grimbergen earmarked for a stop on the way home but we diverted towards Ypres in the end, stopping on an Aire in Zillebeke.
