If you are landing at Cherbourg then one of the sites in that part of Normandy - perhaps Camping Anse du Brick or Camping Le Grand Large - but if you are landing at Calais then those two are 250 miles away so not very accessible, and in that case you may want to look at the Le Crotoy /Baie de Somme area instead.

We took our caravan to Nomanday a few years ago and got the ferry in to Cherbourg. We stayed at Camping La Cormoran which is near St Mere Eglise about a 40 min drive from the port. The site was great right across from the beach and had lots to do on site including a bar/restaurant and an outdoor swimming pool. When we were there they also had bouncy castles set up and had some kids entertainment on at night. There was plenty to do in the surrounding area. The site is on the clubs overseas list.

    Hope this helps
