Hi everyone!

So after realising that working freelance means I can work from pretty much anywhere, I have spent the last month getting rid of my stuff, and finding storage for the rest so I can get in a motorhome on a permanent basis for the summer.

My plan is just to take it month by month, spend my time touring the UK and Europe as much as I can stand.

I've just brought a second hand CL Carioca, 2002 (so just about ULEZ compliant for now!) and am very happy with it. She needs a spruce up, but from what I can tell she's been well looked after :)

I'm here looking for tips, and ultimately a lot of help because I have never even stepped into a motorhome before!!

I've got a few last minute things to do, but I shall hopefully be hitting the road asap.

Welcome!

First Rule of Caravanning / Motorvanning :--

The first trip should be to a site as close to home / base as you can get.  That way you will know that those forgotten items** will probably be within half an hours drive !

** Oft forgotten items include can / bottle openers,  'van instructions. fresh and waste water containers  etc  etc  etc.

Oh nearly forgot ==>   don't leave your sense of humour behind  !!

Exciting times ahead, Miranda! Good advice above about staying close to home for your first trip - or even two or three trips - while you're getting used to how everything works. I can't give you any motorhome-specific advice but if you let's us know which part of the world you're based in you certainly won't be short of recommendations for sites! smile

Soz, meant LEZ compliant. Have spent the last few days on various European ULEZ/LEZ advice sites for finding where I can go and when and my brain is now uselez.

If this may help you, so then I would advice trying affiliate marketing as a good start. It may be look hard on the first glance when you learn basics, but it will be much easier when you perform some first stepps!
