Motorhome waste point

The majority of club sites closer over the winter. There should be a roll-out programme during this period to update the drainage facilities. It just shows that the CAMC aren't really committed to addressing the issue.

I can think of a couple of points which may effect changes at some sites:
Planning permission
Site lease terms
I have not seen any comments about the Clubs intentions or problems with upgrading MSPs at sites. It is something they could easily comment upon but apparently chose not to.

"Of course there is a quick and simple interim solution, just replace the existing covers with grids."
An interesting idea for the short term (dependant on cost) Another idea - Maybe even some yellow paint around the edges to enable driver to see it more easily would also help. Longer drain grids serve all M'homes as drains can be at either side and some outfits are wider than others so hope the club continues to replace with these.

If you can park clear of the trap, like this one at Warwick, it's not too difficult to drag the lid off sideways by hooking the end of my peg pulling out hammer under it. Therefore no lifting involved. However, here the road is wide and I wasn't in anyone's way. It wouldn't have been as easy if my waste pipe was on the other side though, as there is only the one trap and it would have been necessary to go the wrong way. Not the best of designs. I don't think you are supposed to try lifting any of those other lids, they look really heavy.☹️
Probably not likely to changed, unless the jockey club is feeling generous.😀

I agree that would be ideal. Our valve is also inside. However, the pipe slots on easily and hands are washable. Whatever system is provided for grey waste the toilet cassette still needs emptying. I am reasonably happy if I have room to work / park in a sensible manner in relation to the trap.

I also have a longish extension pipe which is used when we are on a serviced pitch (not CC) or wish to run the waste directly into (say) a hedge at a CL or THS.
I also have a short extra pipe for the odd awkward grey waste trap.
however, like both of you, we have an inside dump valve and much perfer just driving over, pulling the lever and then driving away....
we can dream, lol....

Last night was on a free council-run(?) aire with a "proper grey waste grid". Given the prices charged by CAMC, the least we can expect are proper facilities.
