Crit Air France

Unfortunately I have only just come across this item on some recent discussions and I am travelling to France in 2 weeks time . I have a 2008 diesel Mercedes + caravan and I'm travelling down to the Vendee then across to Dordogne and back up the centre of France . I will be by-passing all cities on my travels. Do I need a Crit air vignette ??????

Any advice gladly accepted.

Have you seen the sticky post at the top of the page?

No!  There are only a couple of cities which actually have a 'clean air zone' currently in operation and if you're not going anywhere near them you don't need one.  We regularly travel to our home down in southern France without a CritAir sticker.

There is all sorts of information around about extending the zones to cover whole departments but as yet this is still only a 'work in progress' (despite what it says on some websites).

Many thanks to you both . I had already read most of the links regarding the problem but it all seems a bit contradictory to an old codger like me.

I will take the reply from ValDa as my definitive answer.

Once again thanks and happy travels.
