Truma water pump detaches from inlet when pump on

The Truma ultraflow water pipe is being 'blown' out of its fitting when internal taps are switched on.

This is a very recent occurrence . The infeed pump detaches quite violently and on the last occasion broke the small plastic refraining lugs. Have checked seating, changed water filter and 'shaken' pump before switching on. Pump is inserted to water tank before connecting to van.

any help/advice gratefully received.

Have you lost the small spring on the trigger under the body that holds it in

Thanks for your response. Made me realise a couple of years ago I changes pumps, now have a Whale, comparable with the Truma fitting and has worked perfectly from new.

As mentioned last event broke the Whale plastic retaining clips.
