Is it a rip off?

having lived in one I prefer Cromer, less begging, less traffic, cheaper.
I suppose the ice creams might be better in Firenze but not the pies

Great to be able to take advantage of off peak prices,(no real off peak in Venice or Rome), Venice are trying to control how many cruise ships arrive to disgorge about 4000 people each time
Ps is Venice sinking or is climate change raising sea levels

We do not tour high season , so despite having used some sites that have pools, bars, shop etc, the sites were still quiet.
We do not need pools, bars or shops on a site, but the presence of them does not affect our choice of site, after all, we are not forced to use them!
For us, the site is a base to return to each evening after exploring the area, and we shop when necessary while we are out.
I would think that for those who winter in warmer places, booking onto a site for several weeks, on- site facilities would be more important, but as we usually move on every 4-5 days our requirements are minimal.

Just a rough guess but maybe it was Devon & Cornwall?🤔

Hi guys,
I too am concerned at the cost of booking club sites.
I have just joined the club after viewing costs per night on the club website.I was shocked at the astronomical cost per night when you actually try to book somewhere. I feel as though I have been conned. I have tried to contact the club by e-mail but the website links don't seem to work. Any ideas.

so you mean you looked at the 'from' price' at the top of the site's web page rather than the price in for example August and costed it out for however many in your party?
If so you may have a point and that aspect has been covered in another thread.
As to contacting the club, there are contact details here:
https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/contact/
which includes telephone and email. I have just tried the membership email link (memberenquiries@camc.com) and it appears to work?

We went around the Broadway site to see:
a) how it has changed since the last time we stayed there. (25 years ago)
b) Would we like to stay there again on a BH weekend at £31+ night
Answers a) a lot ........ b) No
Also it was the week before Easter and we were on our way back from Devon and Cornwall but, as the weather was forecast to be so good, we stayed in the Cotswolds ( on a CL @£15/night)

You joined after viewing costs per night? You just looked at the "from" price and assumed that's what you'd pay? No further research? Might I ask if you are completely new to caravanning or if you have used other sites and now decided to give club sites a try? If so it'd be constructive to now which sites you're comparing the club's "astronomical" prices to.

That was quite a detour on the way home.

MikeyA - might be an idea to contact HO and ask them to add Member to you avatar unless it's my laptop gone awry yet again and that's why I can't see it.

Some browsers don’t activate the email links and you have to type them into your mail. There are various contact options listed under the Contact Us section at the foot of the page in the green footer.
I too am a bit surprised that you didn’t look at site pages and check the actual costs as it’s unlikely they could quote a from figure that would apply to us all. Number of people, children, extra car, serviced pitch - they all affect pricing.

Goodness! Fancy that😯.
Well spotted, JO.

perhaps there were some dog shows along the way? Is Mikey interested in that? or am I mixing things up, if so apologies

No real need as it is the current CL of the year,
A beautiful area set on the banks of the River Avon, easy walks either way from the site.
