...hence my quotes....but most of the comments on this page are discussing the effect (you even replied to one) so I've just given my take on why some might not be too concerned of CC moves in that direction.

Not really Tammy. We will have been away over two weeks into a 5 week tour. We will have been to Wharfdale, Whitby on the moors site, Wagtail near Grantham and then Sandringham. WE will just play it by ear, We are off in about 2 weeks - who knows as we may have to cancel and so will play by ear. Not to worried about deposits

    We never use Club sites

    (A) Find them to stuffy to regimented (not that we party or any thing like that)  just don’t like you will do this you will do that OK you have to apply some rules but in my opinion (not that my opinion counts) to many for me.

    (B) Also find Club sites CC and C&CC to expensive after all you pay a membership fee to help offset costs So may well just go to a commercial site if you want all the bells and whistles.

    (C) We prefer the smaller CS / CL sites ok some may not be pristine like club sites, but if you are prepared to get your wheels a bit dirty You’ll find some Gems out there if you’re prepared to try them, after all they are the backbone of the CC and the C&CC (and a lot of them don’t return profits if at all) some at a fraction of the cost of a Club site And you are also contributing to the local community/economy.

“This is just my opinion and as so may differ from that of others”

Fair enough, I thought Sandingham was your first site so could just be dropped off and done at another time.

    Sorry for going off thread.

I wrote to EasyJet customer services, and on production of a doctor's letter (£10)

Ours charged me £25.☹️ Plus you are correct about the excess. Red Pennant applies it for each member of the party for a cancellation. So £105 (inc Drs note) off of total reclaimed.

Best wishes Alan. We're in a book it but might have to cancel time just now and I'm not too bothered about deposits being lost although I hope I don't have to cancel, that's the way things happen sometimes. I hope your daughter recovers well from the procedures.

Very best wishes to all your family from me as well ET, a worrying time for you.

Cant really comment on CCC Sites, as we were only members for a short time, but this Club does offer some good bargains if you can be flexible on times and places to visit. We luckily can avoid the school holiday weeks, and don’t mind using the no facility sites.

The fees were already reduced to what is at this time a non facility site similar to an all hardstand cl  but with barriers and on site staff 24/7

ps the nearest stored LV is at least 50yds from where the fire was,

It is you who wondered why the price was not lessundecided,

and as you do not have the same knowledge of the site as me then i think my 50yds is quite near surprised

just putting in writing the facts rather than your "guess"

I think what is more interesting is the idea of having weight pads on the arrivals areas
