German emissions sticker

Has anyone bought a German emissions sticker actually in Germany? Where from? Was it easy? We haven't time to order on line. We were thinking we could avoid areas where it was needed but now seen that I think you need one around Augsburg - where we are hoping to stay on route home from  Salzburg to hook of Holland/ harwich ferry. Any advice please.

    Usually it is only the city Centers you have to worry about.  If going into this city there are usuall P&R Carpark you can use.  I bought ours on line the first year the scheme came into force.  I know there are lots of folks who have bought in Germany hopefully one will come along with info.

    Yes, we have bought 2 in Germany, while we were at our first sites there.

     For our Volvo, we went into a garage that displayed the sign that shows they do the equivalent of our MOT testing, gave them the car documents and, I think, 5 euros, and they came out and stuck the sticker on the car.

    For our VW,we looked on the car's sat nav and found a VW dealer nearby, took in the documents and the salesman gave me the sticker.  He refused payment for it, which was unexpected.

    All very easy.

    If you can produce details of which Euro emissions class your car or motorhome is then you can get the sticker from almost any dealer. As Kjell says, it costs €5.

    Yes.  V5 to any dealer or 'MOT' testing station with your €5  should produce the sticker  A couple of minutes task!.
