Hi DD, I have looked at the website and wonder if there is anyway to identidfy those that accept caravans?
Had a look at the one at Le Faou and that is definitely a ‘campsite’ and accepts caravans.
Many years ago we stopped at St Theggonec and noticed that part of the parking area had hedged bays and a sign stating that it was a “Halte Caravannes”, which we took to mean it was for the use of caravans, but on later visits this had disappeared.

Thanks BB; we also use a mixture of aires and campsites in France, and personal recommendations are good to have. The fact that it has cycle tracks is the icing on the cake! For us anyway, as we seek out any aires/sites where we can cycle. Don't use the MH once parked up.
Hope you had a good journey back home.

I think the ones which allow caravans in season are ex municiple sites which CCP manage on behalf of the Marie. My guess is CCP has invested in them and in addition to putting in barrier control it has created a number of hard standings for all year use by motor homes.

The web site which details CCP services is >here< but it is all in French. From what I can glean it is encouraging municiple sites to more profitabilty by working with the municipality and by putting in or assisting with upgrading the sites to be motorhome friendly all year round. In season the site might still be run by the municipality. CCP are certainly not responsible for the facilities blocks which only open in season.

for those interested in this sort of facility....or even something more basic....there is plenty of information out there...
along with DD's link, there's Campercontact, books like All the Aires (although a small subset), Bordatlas as mentioned, Campingcar-infos.com and the comprehensive Park4night....I use this app a lot.
most towns, certainly in France and Spain will have somewhere covered by this app, complete with pictures and user comments.

Hi, found info on the sites that take caravans here;
http://campingdemonvillage.com
Having found it disappointing there are only 13 in the whole of France!

Give it time, it is a new start up, I think Mon Village is just over a year old and in any case it is only an add on to Municiple sites of which there are hundreds in France. CCP added 50 sites for motorhomes in 2018.
