We're hoping to revisit Denmark as we just tickled the surface as we passed through on our Norway trip a few years ago, has anyone any recommendations for nice campsites please? Also northern Germany too if we have time!

    Hi Twotwitchers

In 2011 we did a long trip along the Baltic coast of Germany almost to the Polish border. I have a Blog here http://www.davidklyne.co.uk/baltic_byways.htm where all the campsites we used are linked if its any help. At the time we had a  caravan so some of the sites might not be the best option for a motorhome unless its an overnight stop. If you are going.coming to/from Demark via the Puttgarden ferry there is a campsite almost next door to the ferry terminal on the German side. We found it a very interesting part of Germany.

When are you going? We travelled along the Baltic coastline about 3 years ago doing some birdwatching en route. We started near Wismar at Ostsee Camping, Zierow. They are an ACSI site. Easy trip into Lubeck and Wismar.

Had a lovely week at this site on the Ploner See a year or two back.  Great site in lakeland area with days out to Travemunde / Lubeck if required.

The photo was taken a few steps from our pitch.
