Unfair treatment of a caravanner

No idea what they would do to be honest. We seldom book anything in advance nowadays. Although, ironically, I did take advantage of year ahead booking, and got a pitch for my birthday at YRP. Club had to cancel it......Enviro Agency closed site because of flooding prevention work. That was a couple of weeks ago, so poor old YRP isn’t having the best of times at the moment.😀
Club could penalise me with as many emails as they like, safety always comes first.

I would have thought that in weather like this caravanners and motorhomers would only go to sites where they can phone and reserve a hard standing pitch. There are such sites.

I stayed at the Club site Thurstanston last spring on a hard standing pitch that was 2" under water. No problem - I put on boots to go ouside anyway. The great outdoors, you know.

Unless anybody is prepared and/or able to give clear evidence to substantiate the facts regarding the OP, I feel that speculation is not helpful so I plan to lock this thread.

There has been a thread about this before. It has certainly been done before and is a wise move by the wardens or would members prefer to turn up to a site looking like a ploughed field. I have had pitches saved for me in the past, in fact one at Bladon Chains. I have also been phoned and been advised not to come because of rain soaked or flooded pitches and been turned away because there were only soft grass pitches left.

And that I would be happy with PeeDee. I would not be happy to arrive and be told the hard standings are for motorhomes, if you unhitch I will tow you onto a soggy grass pitch

That did not stop you using the site and there was no just cause for you to be notified in advance. The crew were grouped together in one area to minimise any disruption. I remember your thread well.

Yes I did but there seems to be no update from the OP.

Simple answer, change your outfit details to a motor caravan then you would all ready be allocated a hard standing in wet weather.

Until you arrive on site to book in

The other way is to remove your outfit details, and if everybody did the same, has members we might have a better outcome by restricting the Information the warden can act on.

I am unable to give any more detail as I was not involved and have merely advised of a complaint on another caravan related forum.!!!!!Perhaps ,in future, I will not bother to pass on any caravan related issues !!!!!!

I was surprised by JWJ's comment implying that an OP must come back and give an update.
I rather thought that a post would eventually sink out of site down the table, when there was longer any interest in it. Particularly if the ground was boggy at the time.

but can you do an online booking without inputting your outfit details? Or telephone booking?
I can't remember a telephone booking but must have done so at one time.
