Silly site prices. Off season and peak season

We're very similar, although for us a large end bathroom is essential as we seldom use sites with toilet/shower facilities as we generally stay on CL's and non-facility club sites. We too like the side diskette and the two wardrobes.

I’m with you, PF. Those sites are great.
The difference to the OP's suggestion is that MHs and cvans alike can all use them.

Saturday 16th April 2017. A very large motorhome with all facilities pulls onto Hebden Bridge. The young couple had not realised that there were no toilets and could not possibly use their own facilities for the night and so at 7.30 (sunset) they pulled off to find another site.

Bl##dy predictive text !!! I'm using a small kindle at the moment for writing my posts and it seems to have a mind of it's own.
As you might have guessed it was supposed to say dinette.

Back to OP.
We looked at Bladon Chains to meet up with friends at Easter.
From £7.90 seemed a reasonable price.
The dates we wanted turned out to be £29. Quite a difference.
Even the non electric economy pitch would be £19.10
As there is only one of these pitches availablity is very limited at £7.90
Looking at the prices on the web site the cheapest price band for non electric pitch is £6.50 per person £1.50 pitch = £8.00. And this is only for the last three nights of the season.
A bit like package holidays to Spain from £99 and when you go to book they have all been sold!

I understand that most if not all no toilet block sites are getting more "members" each year who book these sites without checking but just going on the price per night then get "upset" when arriving ,and then blaming, as usual, everyone but themselves and then expecting the site staff to get a booking else where for them,

As Hebden Bridge is open to non-members I imagine that people have found their information about the site away from what is offered by the Club. The site book, online information all say no toilet block. The App even has a message that pops up warning you of the fact that there is no toilet block. Reception even has a notice on the desk as you check in that the site has no toilet block.
BTW Hebden Bridge is a lovely little site with or without toilet block!!!

The way "prices from" is displayed is clearly a cynical ploy to conceal the true rise in prices.

""If the club are charging up to £6 per night for EHU I would like to see metered leccy as I am very confident we don't use that much per day,....."
Justus2 -- Sites used to have meters, but some years ago The Blessed EU banned the 'reselling of electricity" so sites now have the inclusive/non-inclusive system. ie no meters, no slots.

It’s a UK Govt reg. You can’t blame that one on the EU.
I don’t remember metered lekky on sites…🤔

Funny how sites in Germany, France and Spain to name but 3 of the EU countries seem to be able to resell the electricity through meters.
I think that the rules do allow it but the reseller cannot make a profit but can include a proportion of any standing charge plus some cost of the metering if he supllies it. May be wrong about last bit. Have to look at Ofgems website but tbh can't be bothered.

As a way of still getting a profit (and avoiding the law) many suppliers, including CC Ltd, started including it in the base price.
Whilst others charged an add on price which also included a sum which included for provision as well as averaged usage

You are obviously not referring to CMC sites. In 38 years I have never been on a Club site with metered electricity! Been on a few sites in Germany with metered supply. I do remember when electricity was charged separately. As many others have said the reselling of electricity is purely a UK law which the Club reacted to by charging an inclusive pitch fee.
