Silly site prices. Off season and peak season

Well the site really had a great dog exercise area. The toilet facilities were modern. Popular site with a large number of seasonals on the hardstanding I reckon. We were there first week in September. I would say that, for us it was £10 a night overpriced It may have been £35 from memory and we don't attach particular value to serviced pitches. The hard standings were round a large grass area. There was another very large tenting area. I will say that the grass with electric pitches were best placed with a superb view.

I wonder why we are given a Sites handbook if we are going to have to trawl through the web to get the info that was previously in the book?

after you have freely admitted on here that you post to wind me up and that you perhaps have hidden agendas to your posts I have no idea?
Unless you have taken up the vacant teacher -basher post on here?

rather sexist and offensive
Unless you meant genes?
btw have you mixed this thread up with general chat?

Never fails to shock me just how much plonk the English get through, home and abroad, no wonder the Continentals find us so baffling and amusing..... wine of course for the socially aspiring,🤔 beer for the yobos.

but the site handbook is for two years? They would be out of date, they used to a do a price supplement (is that right) and a downloaded version of that might be useful to those who want it?

We arrived at a site in Northern Bavaria last year. It was quite full but we found a satisfactory space between 2 German Carvannners. We were a bit worried as one of the units had 3 crates of 24 beer bottles stored under the van. they only had a canopy awning. The occupants were out.
However they were a really lovely couple who we got along with very well. The beer was his 2 week holiday stash, half of which was Alcohol Free. he explained that he was weaning himself off drinking during the "day" but having an alcohol free beer helped.
I don't actually think the Northern Europeans are any different from us lot. They seem to get through the same amount of drink from what I've seen on Dutch, German, Polish and Austrian campsites. There really isn't a great deal of difference between us.

Prices are now a separate supplement to handbook, we had ours delivered last week.
“Never in the field of human camping has so much complication created so much pricing confusion”😂

I think I got rather good value in a local shop yesterday but I won’t bore you with the details as it has nothing to do with site prices.🙄

I got some bargains this week too, I didn't think anyone would be interested so I didn't post. You think DD should start a new thread on this VFM? Oh and ogling & loveliness of waitresses in the EU?

OK thanks, missed that so apologies, as the on line prices are enough for me but as I said it will useful to many

If people looked at the post that I was answering they would see that I was merely pointing out to Easy T what wasn't in the handbook but is on the website as he stated that he didn't know what was missing. I wasn't actually advocating their inclusion but obviously people were quite correct to point out what I really meant!

Given that many make a big thing of capacious end bathrooms in their vans and much of the accolades to club sites are regarding the loo block facilities, I am somewhat puzzled that either (a) there are paying for van facilities that aren't used or (b) paying for site facilities that they don't use. If it is the latter, then most certainly we are being charged over the odds for a rectangle of gravel/grass.

I for one have advocated for some time now for more site with just basic facilities, but in my opinion the 'club' will not follow that through as the powers that be just want to grab every penny they can out of us

Far too simplistic CY. Our end bathroom has a large shower two wardrobes and it is far from essential. We do use non-facility sites if they happen to be where we want to be for part of our trip.
Why do we have a large end bathroom then? SImple we want a side dinette, we want to long and wide front bunks to use as singles and we also want sprung seating.
Hence our choice of van
