Had your nails done! I suppose you'll want to be excused washing up now?
Definitely. No washing up for the foreseeable future CY.

Not such a good day with our ancient terrier yesterday, a visit to the vets which we felt gloomy about but no, aged nearly seventeen, she lives to enjoy another sunny day.
So pleased you got good news about your terrier brue.

Pump ordered, plus upgrade kit to the latest colour touchscreen controller, might as well as not a huge price difference.
I will however also need a new battery back up system, which I may make myself.
Just hope that sorts it once fitted!

Didn't enjoy the drive from Newby Bridge to The Langdales yesterday so decided to spend some time fairly local today. Drove to Arnside and walked around the headland and up onto the Knott, a gentle 6 mile stroll which got the aches out of the body. Another super day weather wise. We've landed lucky with our 5 nighter, couldn't have been any more enjoyable. Isn't touring great?
We met one of the Beebs weather watchers on the top. He was very nice and said he walks up from his house every day to take a photo looking over towards and past ths sits at Meathop Fell. They've used them a few times.
Popped into the new to us Booths in Milnthorpe on the way home as we've run out of food!
Off home tomorrow.
Good luck, OneP for Thursday.
Nellie, will await your instructions. Are you in shorts yet?

Tammygirl is the problem with your brakes that they are squeaky?
The brakes on our new van started squeaking not long after we had it, the fixes didn't work so we had a complete new set of brakes fitted under warranty. This cured the problem for a while but then the squeak was back
A couple of weeks ago our service engineer called us to ask how the brakes were, after we told him they were squeaking he told us alko had got some new brakes after the problems. They apparently have had 100% success with these, and he would put in a claim and fit the new brakes. It might be worth checking with your dealer.

It's been a beautiful warm day again today, shame I had to spend some of it in the office.
Sounds like you have had a lovely break in the lakes Wherenext, you will need to go home for a rest

Had a Brilliant day today
Drove up to Aged Sisters for a couple hours Chat n Coffee and found her eldest son, with his rescue whippet pup, already there. Blow me but a delivery of a D-I-Y handicraft type table on castors arrived. It's quite pleasant when these youngsters insist on displaying their 'flat pack ' skills and the pup came over to demand from me the fuss she wasn't getting from her feeder
I only got the job of disposing of all the packaging and even that was good !! At the council tip even the cardboard & the polystyrene skips were side by side so no walking etc just in, deposit & go !!
Then I lost my self control & junked the rest of the "To Be Shredded ??" pile
## Oh happy days are here again

Now, I'm hoping B2 and her OH have had as good a day as possible, all things considered, and that the cooling days to come won't stop you all from enjoying yourselves

So proud of daughter she moved all this earth/rubble from behind the house to the front. Loaded barrow and carted about 3 tons.

Hope all goes well at the hospital. Glad to hear that you had a super time in the Lakes. Hope that the site was ok after having recommended it. We had a great day out at Gibraltar Point today, and although I've not yet got my shorts on I am wearing my cut offs, so some of the legs are getting a bit of sun😁

Yes Helen really squeaky, the dealer says they have a fix from Alko something to do with having to remove the drums and cutting groves in them.
Thanks for the info from your dealer, really useful. When we get back from Lanzarote we will give them a ring to see if they have heard anything from alko.

Lovely to read your posts. Glad folks are managing to enjoy this glorious weather. Another heavy frost here but hopefully followed by a lovely warm sunny day. How wonderful it is to see the sun regardless of how we spend our days
I've good a good routine going now and even managed a couple of hours in the garden before leaving about noon to enjoy hospital parking! I've now qualified for parking permit and have a month parking for what I've been paying for 2 days worth of parking so far 😉. Who said there was no upside to long stay hospital visiting 😂😂. The last 2 days I have been the worse for finding a space since day 1.
Thanks for all your good wishes kind thoughts and prayers they are much appreciated by us both, even if only one of us really knows about them 😂😂. OH was transferred back to high dependency part of cardiac ward late Monday afternoon. Funnily enough to the same bed space. So far much improved nursing - long may it continue 😉. He is now allowed modified food and thickened liquids, however he refuses all offered, saying it smells funny! But he did ask for a bounty bar, not allowed, and a roast turkey dinner similarly not allowed yet. He's still sleeping, good medicine in my book, and was very with it yesterday and the day before in the waking time, not a lot of that even in 8 hours visiting 😂 when there's not therapist's, observations etc being undertaken. So fingers crossed for a little progress every day.
Thinking of you JVB for your hospital visit. Intrigued to know what your hospital letter contained to make you glad you hadn't read it previously!
Oneputt glad you've got a very quick date for your op. Is it done as a day case?

Well done that woman!!

Bakers2. So pleased to hear that your OH is making steady progress and also that you are making the most of the good weather when you can by getting outside in the garden. Best wishes to you both.
OP. I hope all goes well for your op tomorrow.

Glad your OH has been improving B2. Turkey dinner followed by a Bounty, yum, yum. That must indicate a step forward.
.
Yes my procedure is a day visit under local anaesthetic. It's going to be carried out by a German guy.
Washed the caravan this morning so all ready for our next trip

Went to see Bob my friend who is no longer housebound now he has a superb apartment in an extra care facility with a lift down and able to use either his mobility scooter or electric wheelchair straight from his apartment.
A stroll on front at Parkgate yesterday in the sun and a meal out. Fancied a walk along the river in Chester today but thought it best to get the caravan washed after an early lunch. Roof front and side done taking a break to cool off
A small wee dram and then off out to do the other side and back

Hey, what have I done to you for you to get on my back? Perhaps you are just jealous of us being away in our caravan in such nice, fine weather, and you realise that when you eventually set off, sometime towards the middle of the year it will be blowing a hoolie and bucketing down with rain and you'll have missed all the best of the conditions.
I now realise what I should have said was that the lower half of both of my legs, below the knee, were getting a bit of sun, but I was a bit pressed for time last night.

I've been communing with the Stones today, even older than the Rolling ones.
Squeezing in between a thousand Japanese tourists taking selfies I managed to get a few photos of Stonehenge. Haven't been there since the new visitor centre opened (a bit utilitarian) but all looked good in the sunshine. Some very interesting things to see in the exhibition area, on loan from other areas. Worth a visit!

It's been a bit of a wasted day. Hanging around for the heating engineer to do his annual service, having rescheduled him about a month ago. Eventually ring him to find he forgot to update his diary.

Short trip into the village this morning, to fizzically book an annual { FREE
} eye test where I should have gone
!
Walked thro Crewe town centre and got suitably depressed
! I remember seeing this town centre comprising ex- railway workers houses about 100 years old, not of modern standards obviously , being unceremoniously flattened in the early 1960's. Today a full town centre block only has Santander Bank on one corner and Boots Optician on another -- every thing else is boarded up. At the back of this is the Bus Station -- used last year by a film company to shoot parts of a film with Sean Bean. They were looking for a drab dreary dump -- and got it only too right first time.
So I surrendered to the best ( only ?? ) cure for depression that I know. Spent an absolute fortune on food
in ASDA 'cos it was their fault for having a carpark there !!
Now I'm back on duty checking over my holidays, site bookings & rallies etc -- printing out amended versions for those with a "need to know" where / what yours truly will be adoin' this year
Glad to see that this Spring like weather has brought a few cheery posts today -- may you all enjoy your "Days in the Sun"

Very cold and misty this morning, but it soon warmed up again,
Shed all re felted, and steel lintels fitted over ground floor windows, builder says he has fitted them to over two hundred in recent years and expecting mote to have to be done ,as thousands of houses were built without, as the original wooden windows were strong enough to support the bricks above ,but UPVC are not ,then "sag" under the weight causing the brickwork to "open"
B2 glad OH s improving ,the letter was "adviseing"the results of my CT scan and that i would be contacted to attend for an angiogram and possible operation,so now know why i was contacted by cardiologist before hand

Lovely sunny day here today and yesterday the warmest 2 days so far in this recent spell, very cold overnight though with a good frost in the mornings.
That's us all ready for the off in the morning, bags packed, OH's hair trimmed again, house all nice and tidy to come back to.
Bakers, nice to hear your OH is making a steady improvement.
OP, hope all goes well with your surgery.
MillieH, have a nice holiday in Tenerife.
Bye for now, stay safe and be good to each other.
