I think its more a case of priorities.

The 30 somethings and below, would put a mobile phone before most things, just look at the sales of the things.

People throw a perfectly good phone away, to then que to get another one!

So I would say the younger generation in general terms, have shifted to what is top of their must buy list.

Before unlimited internet became a thing, when away in the caravan, we would nip out to use McDonalds free wifi via the car park, never bought anything, log on to their wifi. Michelle would shop at a supermarket, I always stay in the car, hate shopping, if you park close to the building you could log on their too.

But as said, nowadays unlimited 4g makes all that redundant.

As I have said many times on various threads on various subjects it all comes down to personal circumstance. Generally for me I want internet access as a relaxation and would never have wanted it whilst sat in a car supermarket park whilst OH shopped. In my case the reason is simple. I do the cooking and want to pick the ingredients wink

How do you know that it is 30 somethings buying and not 50 somethings?

Despite my advancing years and supposed disconnect from modern technology therefore I do know a few 30 somethings who would balk at spending the £46 a month that you profess to do on smart phone contracts. (By the way where do you think my 35 year old daughter and 44 year old daughter turn to with computer problems?) laughing

We are currently at Ravenglass CCC site with free WiFi, (using it now) and age concession (something else the C&MC don’t do) and the weather is great too!

Moffat site has improved greatly since the facility block was rebuilt a few years ago and further HS pitches created.

What's more, with the age related discount, I’ve been able to book a HS pitch with EHU for 2 people in June at £18.45 p/n. Makes you think, doesn't it?
