Ok. I received the text as well but plan to fill up Monday just in case it does not arrive - time will tell.

For what it is worth our Esso garage is still offering Tesco points.

Esso is changing to Nectar points later in the year, June I think. I had Tesco points from an Esso a month ago...

I'm not a fb user but I can click on the fb link at the bottom of the main CT page (or via the route on the  device you are using) and it's possible to put Esso on the CAMC fb page search box. This should take you to the many Esso posts and responses.

Apologies as I've just tried to do this on my phone but can't. On my laptop I can click on fb, click on "not now" re signing in, go to posts and put esso in the right hand search.

Over the past nine weeks it seems that the average saving has been about £0.05p per litre on diesel.

In that time to recap, we have saved £13.39 however we the period of 12 weeks that we have had the card, it has been declined, had threatening emails due to double dipping and Morrisons had a fuel offer that would have saved us more than £13.39 plus cost of fuel being lower.

In addition the Terms and Conditions changed without us being advised and the new T&Cs are being applied whether or not you agreed to them.

Finally trying to get in touch with anyone at Pump King is impossible and they do not answer emails!

We have used the card a couple of time with no problems, however I do think it is aimed at ‘southern’ users as the price of fuel is so much higher down there. Up here in the ‘mid-north’, the fuel prices are either lower or the same as the text price (supermarket fuels are usually 1-2p per litre less).  I am sure that when we are out and about over the summer it will be more beneficial to us.

What I don’t understand is the variant of fuel prices across the uk   Surely if Esso (or whoever) have paid a price for the fuel, it should be the same everywhere until they buy the next lot - or is that too simple?

I think it depends on the local "competion" and how much it costs to transport from the refinery,

And also which refinery, who owns it, and what deal the retailer (Esso, Shell, etc) have with the refinery, what additives the refinery puts in for that particular retailer, and what the retailer has to pay in marketing costs to keep people buying their brand.

‘No such thing as bad publicity?’, I think Harvey Weinstein would disagree. It’s bad publicity that brought him to justice-gladly👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I don’t reckon Philip Green is too happy either although he’s already cut and run, allegedly.

Esso fuel stations are independent suppliers that sell the Esso brand and the prices at the pump are the prices that the owner has declared and that's why the difference between stations.

taken from franchise uk.-Esso decided to overhaul its retail business and concentrate their efforts on supplying high-quality fuels to independent service station owners operating under the Esso brand. The programme of transferring its operations at 400 sites to independent specialists while maintaining its brand presence was completed in 2015.

My post was intended to point out that the "bad publicity" isn't having a good effect this time round. wink Although others may disagree if their new cards arrive and they have no further problems.

If it worked correctly there would be no reason to walk away.  Anyway all our cards expire tomorrow whether you have the new card or not.

Checking the website this morning it still has the details and PIN for the old card.

Just to put things in perspective the CC are only one of several "clubs" that have been drawn in by all the Hype that seems has been as a lot of "Great Deal for your members" have been "sold " by this company to what seems as usual, Gullible (blue sky thinking) marketing departmentssurprised

Like you no card today despite many promises to resolve this situation, the time has come I believe for the club to inform pump king that any arrangement they have needs to be cancelled in totality to save the clubs reputation which is by their Involvement being tarnished as time goes on.

    Hi everyone,

We sincerely apologise for the delay in receiving your card. All cards were dispatched on Friday 15th & Saturday 16th of February. Members should be receiving their cards this week.

If you haven’t received your card by the end of the week, please  contact Pump King at dispatch@pump-king.co.uk for card related queries and customer.service@pump-king.co.uk for general queries.

The deactivation of all current cards will be extended to the end of the week to ensure all members have received their new cards beforehand.

As much as I appreciate your quick involvement in providing this information it only gives more credence to our many comments stating the poor rollout of this card, we seem to be fed various information that pump king think will satisfy us in the short term.

also the chance of contacting them should the card fail to arrive, is if previous calls and texts are a guide very unlikely.
