Well, I certainly think I have proved that I have been in front of the game and informed unlike some who just fire from the hip and to put things in perspective, when I told the forum that the Red Guide was being amended and reprinted because of the work Safefill had put in  and that to make sense of that, UKLPG had to rewrite Sht 26, ( which they have done) The trolls came out of the woodwork and tried to suggest that there was no proof of it - even though Morrisons had taken on Safefill- - they really couldn’t put 2 & 2 together! -  that logic baffles me completely! It was just an opportunity to start bad feeling- shame on you. It must have been obvious to anyone who had an open mind that I must have been telling the truth- just because you can’t see it written on an electronic page doesn’t mean it isn’t true- some live their lives by the internet- the all powerful internet- if it isn’t on the internet it isn’t true!! Well, as you see, it was true but I don’t expect those who gave me a hard time to apologise as they haven’t got it in them. I simply wanted to inform and educate. This old joke about me having shares in Safefill- I wish I had because I think it would be a good investment, however, If Safefill is a Limited Company, then you should be able to check on the internet whether they have shareholders or not I wish Safefill all the best as they have done more for us in their short history as regards making things more affordable than Calor and Co have done for us in 50yrs! The thing that really hacks me off though in all this sniping at Safefill is that there is nothing to stop the doubting Thomas’s checking and getting the facts for themselves. Safefill will not come on to public forums to engage with the public and so these people feel empowered to accuse them of running their business in an ‘appalling’ way and hiding behind stories of big business bullying. If anything is appalling- that is. After all Safefill has done for me and my colleagues  in the caravanning world- some still find it enjoyable to take pot shots at them. You can all be assured by me that the war against Safefill is being waged by any means possible by the big guys. And Boff is right, it’s the Safefill valve that is the clever bit- even named the Safefill Valve- but they need cylinders to put it on. It will all come clear in the future as to the dirty tricks departments involvement against Safefill. I will always fight for any company who genuinely wants to improve the lot of caravanners and Motorhomers. And Safefill is such a company whether some like it or not!

I am afraid that I must say you spout much drivel Merve but I assume with good intent.

All that 'trolls' pointed out was that there were no amendments published to industry advice notes at that time and that there was nothing to prevent suppliers servicing those requiring to refill other than the various suppliers own risk assessments.

Don't let facts stand in the way of a good rant though. I assume it to be a good rant as I have not read all your diatribe attacking other members for stating plain facts

Except the fact that Morrisons were filling Safefill cylinders ET. Drivel or not, it was truthful drivel!

For those that are interested, Safefill will have new stock by the 3rd or 4th week of February. All three sizes are coming in- 5k, 7.5k & 10k. This will be followed shortly by a second thousand. These new cylinders have all the regulatory and safety features that their previous cylinders had- no difference! Now that Cylinders have started to flow again, things should ease and pre orders will be fulfilled. Thanks.

ET. You say that there were no amendments to be seen on the web and therefore there was no proof what I was saying was true. Nice to be regarded as a fantasist or even a liar but you will remember that I did give a link to the PRA ((Petrol Retailers Association) which has been sent to every petrol station in the country-  that explained fully why the Red Guide was being amended. I also went to pains to point out that a major retailer had taken Safefill on board and for them to do that, there had to be a rewritten Red Guide but no, this was still not enough for some to accept that there could have been the mere modicum of truth in what I was saying instead, I am attacked (rants, diatribe and now I see I’m talking drivel. Well, get on with it If you think that comments like that are useful on this forum. I find it utterly baffling as to why someone would want to dis someone who was merely trying to bring sense and logic to a discussion. Anyway, everything  I said has come to pass as they say. I’m happy.  Those of you who are going,  Enjoy the show everyone.

    And.....

Tintent, Email me and I will try to help.

Merve, thanks for the offer of help, but I think your later posting is self explanatory, I shall keep an eye on the website. I'm sure that what you have posted will be useful info for other people too.....

Sadly for me I've just had a significant promotion in work and am likely to be very busy in the forseeable future, I'm expecting to be cancelling a couple of the trips I had planned, so may hold off on a purchase for now......

Just for your interest, as I said earlier in the thread, I've got a couple of "back street" LPG suppliers nearby, but out of the interest you had generated I visited a couple of local Morrisons stores last week ( we don't normally shop at M's).  The first had no petrol station, the second had a big fuel station, I filled the car up with fuel, looked around the forecourt for the LPG pump, couldn't see one so asked in the office .   "What's LPG?" said the girl.    I explained.   "Oh no" she said, "but we've got Calor Gas....."

    I smiled inwardly and left.........wink

Nobody 'dissed' you Merve. As I pointed out there was nothing to stop any retailer refilling gas as there was nothing in the (non statutory) Red Guide or within any statutory regulation to stop them . All that was required was, as for any other aspect of fuel service, that they carried out a risk assessment to deem that it was safe to do so. You seem to have trouble grasping what is a simple fact. The guide et al had not been updated at that time but, as I said then, that was an irrelevance as the guide was just that .... a guide and nothing more

    >>> I have been told that with luck they may have fresh stock by the end of February and that the problems had nothing to do with your favourite fairy tale, "the big boys", or competition.<<<

Thanks for that info DD, would you care to divulge to us what the problems were/are?....cool
