    Same from me too, David.

H&T, I too need to try to get a pair of my walking boots re-heeled as I'm wearing them down badly. I suspect it will cost a good bit more than £9 to get it done here, though. I was considering to buy a new pair, but after searching through our "boot box" I fond a little used pair that I'd forgotten I had, so that's saved me a fair bit of money.

Sorry to hear of your continuing troubles B2, especially after all the good comments we've had lately on here about the NHS. Hope that things are soon sorted out, and that you're feeling better too.

Brue, don't know if it's Cls that you want to use for your N.Sea tour but I might have a few recommendation that you could consider.

Might see you there. Mind you I've heard that Yorkshire is quite big

You never know your luck, WN.wink Have now booked our second site tonight, White Water Park.

John Clare cottage is well worth a visit brue. Lovely little cafe as well and a good pub, The Bluebell, next door. Check John Clare website for opening times of the cottage and cafe. Stamford is nearby as well.

Thanks all. I'd forgotten about John Clare, but I had got Isaac Newton on the list. Discussing with OH that we ought to use our NT and EH cards a bit more this year too, we tend to go local. Thanks for the suggestion and also Nellie for a few possible CLs which I might be asking about. I can't book much just now but want to line ideas up.

It's awhile since I attempted to "organise" a tour! Good to hear ABM is getting plan sorted.

Do hope things are going well for B2.

It must have been a relief for David DSB to find the van untouched but no doubt a worry too.

We might be able to recommend a few, with access to some nice gardens and churches! Let me know your Northernly starting point, and how far down to Wash if you want......

Just catching up a bit today on here. Sorry to hear about folks ailments, and hope things are going well. And your lovely little dog DSB, poor little lass. Good to hear others are planning. We might get out this month for a few nights, but at the moment enjoying doing things around house and for Mum. We have YRP booked for three nights early March, that’s a birthday trip. But OH has decided we need to go somewhere completely new this year. (Then qualified it with but not SE) Over Pennines would be a start, then decades since we did Lakes. I quite fancy New Forest, but that might be bordering too far SE for some!🤔😂

    Glad the vans safe David.

🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🍾 Thought you might need a few more candles, Bakers, but didn't want to upset you (too muchsmile).

Hope Millie was royally treated on her birthday. Happy Birthday (forgot to mention it t'other day, sorry!)

Travelled to our CL over the Pennines today. See Ttda it can be done. Got within 5 miles of site and an ominous warning light came on in car. Nowhere to stop so we cajolled car to CL and looked up sign. Brakes may fail!😱😱.

Drove very gently to local dealer about 4 miles from site who can look at it tomorrow. Yikes. Wouldn't mind but car just had Mot less than 10 days ago!

Lovely views from CL near Harrogate. Red Kites flying directly overhead. NTH due to arrive Thursday. Better get the beer in.

Mixed sort of day, met up with some ex work colleagues  this morning for our usual get together to catch up.

Came home and OH said our friend and neighbour had talked things over with the vet and had decided that the time had come to have her dog put to sleepcry he was taking them up to the vet at lunchtime . She will really miss her.

Work a bit hectic as found I'd managed to mix up my invoice numbers, so had to spend an hour sorting them out. yell that will teach me to be more careful. wink

Spoke to son again about his new job, he is working on a new bbc  wellbeing and mental health app aimed at supporting 8-12 yr olds, sounded a really good idea smile

Happy Birthday Bakers 2 🎂 Hope you also enjoyed your Birthday too Millie.

Oh dear, that doesn't sound too promising, it must be that crossing of the Pennines that's done it. Hope that they can sort the problem out tomorrow, WN. Fingers crossed that we make it over there without mishap. We'll be doing our stocking up tomorrow so must get a few bottles in too!! See you on Thursday.

Happy Birthday B2, hope you had a good day, and you too of course millie.

Hope all goes well with the angiogram and the follow ups, JVB.

Thanks, yes, I had a great birthday on Sunday. The family came over for a buffet meal - 12 of us altogether - it was a bit hectic but great fun.  Lots of lovely flowers, pressies, messages, cards and phone calls. I have just about recovered.  Sorry to hear about your car WN.  I hope it can be sorted soon and that you all have a good meet up.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I've not opened any cards or presents as yet far too anxious. Had 2 delivery's of flowers one from OH which our son had a hand in.

Good? news angiogram finally done yesterday and back to Broomfield last evening. We actually met at the ward door our timing was good.  He was shattered spent a couple of hours with him. Friends dropped me off at the door and collected me. I was so grateful when I left OH to know I didn't have to drive I was so tired! Asleep by 9pm.

Currently sitting beside him awaiting a consultant visit and then maybe I'll know a bit more.

For those home and away enjoy your day.

B2, hope you have a good chat with the consultant, I expect you are both very tired after your recent illnesses plus the original admission event. Take care, let those friends take the strain, they sound very kind and helpful.

TDA we have a book called Exploring Norfolk Churches, it’s a free guide.  www.exploringnorfolkchurches.org  Not sure if you can get similar guides for other Diocese across the U.K.

Lovely mild and sunny day here so popped the shorts on to walk down the high street. 🌞🌞

That’s bad luck WN, hope you get sorted. If you are close to Harrogate, take a trip out to Great York’s Showground on outskirts and visit Fodder. It’s a fantastic cafe cum local produce and crafts shop. Some great food and drinks and gifts. Mind you queues for tables can be long. I think they have an outdoor area if you have a pooch.

Will look that guide up OP. Norfolk has some of the most interesting churches in UK.

Thanks for the offers about places to visit. We are starting on the NE coast at Old Hartley (this is to visit son and family) instead of heading further north like we usually do I've hatched a plan to wander down as far as Lincs/The Wash and I'm looking for places I might never have seen...bit of a tall order. wink

OP I picked up the Norfolk Churches booklet, it was very good.

Brue if you're heading to Lincolnshire, I can recommend these CL's.

Willow Cottage - Burgh le Marsh (near the Lincolnshire east coast)

South Cliff Farm - approx 4 miles from Lincoln City centre. Rural.

Tall Trees Farm - Hemingby (near  Horncastle) rural with views.

and don't forget to let us know if your coming to visit. 😊

Had a 'call' from Haynes in Ashford Kent last afternoon,to say that ALL the work related to the 'Concorde's' incursion had been done and would i like to know the invoice price'costs ?? NO, i replied ,,,i will decide that when i have inspected the vehicle for works done or not done as requested or as necessary ,also doing a 'PDI' (bodywork inside and out etc.)

As it transpired,,a hubcap/wheel trim had been left off,,wheel nuts had not been torqued again after M.O.T and road test,,a re-plugin diagnostic had not been done, so still warning lights on the dash' ,an inspection panel in the rear leisure battery compartment was left unsecured,,and one of the main requirements of attending to the inaction of the air suspension is still not rectified !!

SO,,i STILL  await a complete repair to my satisfaction !!  !!  undecided yell.

The moral of all this ??  Check,,check ,,and check again before parting with your hard earned  !!  surprised
