Will the CAMC be sending out a hard copy list of all 2019 rallies together with the February 2019 monthly magazine ?

Is there any way to arrange for that to happen, for members thinking of trying Centre rallies in 2019?

The clubs list that is published only contains the information supplied by the centres.

Best bet is to look up your local centres website, or one in the area your interested in.

Much more reliable, informative & up to date.

    Google can be your friend.

If you sign up for a centre you should automatically receive the list, but it is often incomplete so as suggested check for rallies under individual centres. You don't have to be a centre member to attend a rally and you don't have to join your nearest centre.

It should be sent out to centre members in the magazine.  I think it was also available foc from the clubshop don’t know if that is still the case?   Generally the centre websites give more information.  2019 Rallies are already booking up in our centre.

It is still good to see all the rallies in chronological order as 'one-liners' before looking up the details on the particular Centre's websites.

If only the general rally search facility on here (which used to be good) could also be improved and found by all who were interested, maybe the list could be seen on here too?

The CMC could easily collate the information supplied by the Rally Centres and present it on a web page within the main site based on geographical location.  Most ralliers do not rally with the one centre exclusively, therefore what is available elsewhere in the country is very useful information.

Will the CMC have the expertise to implement those useful pages ?. I leave that question for the reader to decide.

Noted a few rallies cancelled in recent times, so imagine a printed list in February would not be reliable.

Previous years have published a list of all overseas rallies in the magazine.  Is there a list published anywhere?

We really like overseas rallies but cannot find any for 2019.

    Thanks

Hello everyone, a couple of years ago a friend booked us into the Pistons and Props at Sywell, I can't remember the centre who organised it. Can anyone direct me to the contact so that I can go again, or has it not been organised yet. Thanks

Can you remember the time of year? If no-one can help with your question you might be able to find it by a date search, that's the only thing that seems to work.

Thanks to Brue for that pdf link. Just what I've been trying to track down.  Want to go on a foreign rally this year and you dont know who may be organising one without a list like this. Would be impossible searching individual centres.

    Thanks

Perhaps if you could mention which area(s) you would like to visit then maybe someone could advise you.

Do many rallies happen over Christmas? Is this the best way of spending time over this period? Or do members just pitch up at a open all year site. Not been away at this time of year just wondering best option. Thanks.

I think if you like company and social events Christmas rallies are worth a thought. We've never been on one but they often get booked up early so they're obviously popular, also New Year rallies. smile

I think the rally list booklet is due out soon with the magazine for people who've signed up for a centre? But check on line with individual centres as not all will be in the booklet. You can join any centre or go on a rally as a non centre member.

The Rally Lists have just arrived in my February magazine, so watch out for the booklet amongst the adverts which you might throw out. wink

I don't know if others have found this but much of page 14, July rallies, is virtually illegible?

I find that because of the size and colour none of it is easy to read but my page 14 is no different to the rest.

I always get the list of rallies but I know some members don't.  Does anybody know what the rules are for who gets the list and who doesn't ?

People who've opted to join a centre get the booklet. If anyone is looking in and wonders how to join this can be done in the "my membership" section of "my profile" there is a tick box to join a centre of your choice. You have to remember to renew this each year and you can change centres.

The list is sent to centre members, but how do non centre members get a copy?

In the past they used to be available FOC from East Grinstead.  I only asked the original question because several of our Centre members have not received copies this year and thought that the rules may have changed.

I can see last years is still on the club shop pages, it's a free issue so presumably this will be updated to 2019 and can be requested.

    Brue, thanks for the link....

we use many THS sites with the other club and these are 'meaty', often running for three to six weeks.....and then can move to another nearby..

the list of CC rallies 'seems' to have mainly weekends, or three to five day rallies...

if you can only stay a few days and there isn't another nearby until the following weekend, this makes it a bit of a pain if wanting to make use of these to visit a far away area for any length of time.

im sure I've looked at CC rallies before to try and emulate how we use CCC THS sites but gave up then, too.....

other than (say) the National....are there any large 10-30 day events, especially overlapping with others.....this is the thing that makes it so easy to move around on THS.....and no booking....

The set up is different but club members who are keen on rallies tend to move from one to another. You'll also find follow on rallies in the same place run by a different centre so you could do two weeks in the same spot. Info about this usually comes with a rally booking or on the centre rally pages. The main difference is the booking v non booking. Both systems seem to work.

    Hi Bill,

The Centre Rally supplement is available via the Club Shop or the PDF is available for viewing and download on the Club website here: CAMC Centre Rallies

The supplement is sent out to all registered Centre members, and all Club members in their first year of membership. The Club relies on the rally information coming directly from the Centres for inclusion in the supplement. Rallies can also be found on the individual Centre websites or searching the Club website.

    I hope this helps. smile
