Automatic Caravan Levelling
I caravan alone and often 'off-grid' in open fields. Levelling can take a loooong time with much to-ing and fro-ing to check the spirit level. I like the look of the E&P automatic system. Does anyone have any experience of it? Good or bad comments? Thanks.

Hi Elizabeth, I had the full E&P system fitted to my Bailey Unicorn Valencia as soon as I got it. I wouldn’t be without it, makes pitching up so easy and quick. On really un-level ground you can use the manual buttons if needed. It’s handy for changing wheels as well as you can lift the wheel or wheels clear of the ground - no need to to carry a Jack!
I believe that it’s kinder to the axle, as the weight is only fully on the wheels when travelling, in fact when I’m at home I lift the wheels clear of the ground, so there is no load on the axle at all or the tyres either.
The extra weight and it’s cost are the only negatives that I can see.
But, well worth it in my book.
MIne is four years old, has been trouble free and is regularly used.

We had the E&P basic system fitted to our caravan (Eldiss Crusader Storm) so we just have the main hydraulic rams levelling the caravan side to side then adjust front to back manually using the corner steadies. We carry some wooden blocks to place under the rams on really bad sites.
As mentioned the two negative aspects of the system are the weight and the cost, I think it is worth the money but with a 4 wheel mover as well I do struggle keeping under the MPTLM

I also caravan alone. I have a motor mover fitted and use that together with a lock’n’level to get the caravan level from side to side. Once under the wheel all is needed is to stand and watch the sprit level while the device inflates enough to get the van level.

It takes me 10 – 15 minutes to level everything.

The centre jacks are fixed to the axle close to the wheels, so it’s very unlikely to twist anything.

It’s not for everyone, but for me it’s a bonus.
It’s takes one second to push the button and then I just let it get on with it. In two minutes it’s done. While it’s doing it’s stuff I make a start with the hook up cable, waste master and aquaroll. In the time that it would normally take to level up, I’m finished.
Less time spent setting up, is a godsend in poor weather, likewise if my back is playing up, it’s one less task of bending I have to endure.

Excellent product and after 5 years service a bonus to have especially time and effort saved. Alko lock fitting gets done first great for double axle vans. rock steady in minutes.
Yes it is 30kgs but you take off about 20 kg with the removal of the old jacks. Unless it comes free, do not bother with the remote if the main panel is fitted just inside the door.

Save another 5kg by not needing to carry a jack and a corner steady winder.
