    Hi Rufs

You do realize that Salamanca is way over towards Portugal and Burgos is more central if coming from Spanish ports or France, have to agree 100% with David about Aranjuez being a good half way stop, campsite is a really nice and it is in ACSI and the town is one of the most beautiful in Spain and used to be the Royal residency many years ago before Madrid and well worth a couple of days if you have the time, we personally would drive from there to Mazarron in one hit next day.

Love Mazarron we often go for the weekend and stay at Camping Bolnuevo not at the moment though too many Brits lol

tks AD & Phil, yes re Salamanca but fancy visiting the town and we are not in any great rush in fact there is not a lot of difference in time between Burgos - Mazarron , Salamanca - Mazarron, we are heading for camping Bolnuevo, stayed last year for 2 months May/June, my daughter lives in Villa Martin so only 1 hour away, good site and we have a dog so reasonably dog friendly, but did visit once in December full of Brits, Germans, Dutch, although we made some good friends with the Germans.

Hi Rufs, we stayed at a site just north of Salamanca called Olimpia late January last year. Its just off the motorway and there is a fuel station opposite to fill up before the next leg of your journey. You won't be disappointed when you go into Salamanca its a beautiful city.

    Hi

If you do fancy Salamanca you wont be disappointed not unlike Cambridge as they are both university towns, if you want a site there then Camping Regio is possible the best for visiting the town with the bus calling into the Hotel car park which the campsite is part of and you check in at Hotel reception. Villamartin is a lovely place to live and as we live 20 minutes away we often go there for a night out.

Philnnfc re "Love Mazarron we often go for the weekend and stay at Camping Bolnuevo not at the moment though too many Brits lo"

you should read the report in Murcia today "murciatoday.com", lots of bad press for MH owners, apparently 50 are parked alongside the "gredes" in Bolnuevo wild camping and doing all the bad things with black water etc.,

This happened when we were last there in 2018, i wonder how many are Brits ? such a lovely area, being spoilt by the few.
