Brittany
Hi all I have just upgraded from a Avanguard 200 to a Baileys Approach 740 SE and I am looking to go to Brittany this year 2019. As it is my first time and having to get used to the longer vehicle can anyone give advice on where to stay in Brittany probably early July but not fixed to that date. We have 2 dogs so the site will have to be dog friendly and we prefer quiet sites no offence to others with children but mine have grown up and flown the nest now.
Cheers everyone

I suggest a tour taking in places which interest you rather than a single site, but French school holidays start on 6 July 2019 and things will be quieter if you can go before that date, especially along the coast.

Are you wanting to use Campsites all the time or are you able (own facilities) to use the Aires or France Passion systems ?

The Motorways are all free in Brittany.
Many of the roads are relatively narrow but we have a similar size Motorhome to you and we had no problems with length or width.
Most road direction signs are in two languages – French and Breton – sometimes the same word but usually totally different – and it can be confusing.
You can get beautiful sunsets on the coastal Aires.
We went July/August and never struggled to find overnight parking on Aires.
The beaches were often deserted and it is a place to go for a diverse holiday – much to see and do but also many quiet places to visit and stay.
And our dog loved it.
Have a good holiday.
