Romania Vignette
Has anyone towed in Romania, I ask, because we will be there May/June, enter from Hungary touring up through Transylvania and back out into Hungary again.
Outfit weight is just under 3.5t, looking on the Roviniete vignette site it makes no mention of trailers/caravans, but I seemed to think you need one for caravan as well, similar to Slovakia.

TollTickets website shows eight classes of vehicles labelled A to H, each requiring a different type of vignette. Cars with trailers are in class C . More than that I don't know, but I bet the AA will.

It is 10 years ago, so might be outdated, but we crossed the border south of Debrecen (Hungary) to Oradea (Romania) on route 42/E60. At the old border station there was lots of parking, a currency exchange and a place to buy vignettes. I can't remember whether it was a single vignette or separate for car and caravan, but that might be out of date anyway. Whatever, they were very helpful when I bought mine. Sadly there was no cash dispenser/ATM so we had to stop atb the roadside in Oradea outside a bank!
Our first night in Romania was at Camping Eldorado, Gilau, shortly before Cluj Napoca, then Vampire Camping at Bran, south of Brasov. I would recommend both.
