Hi
Although this is a French web site but it has an excellent Spanish searchable map section which is updated monthly, I use it quite a lot when touring new places/cities, it also has Tom Tom poi to download.

Conil is a lovely little Spanish town not too far from Cadiz which is a beautiful city but the campsite Roche is out of town and you might need transport if staying any length of time.

We stopped at Olimpia north of Salamanca in January this year for two nights and spent a day in Salamanca a lovely City. Olimpia is just off the motorway and there is a petrol station across the road so good for one night stopover. We then stopped at Cacares Camping and called into the City there as well. You get you own separate bathroom with shower. toilet etc. Again close to the motorway.

Thanks MnLatham that's very helpful. Did you encounter any snow on the A67/A62 ?

Thanks Deleted User I thought snow would be likely in Northern spain in Jan looking at the temperatures but don't have winter tyres on our MH and was wondering about chains particularly if they close the motorways and you have to use smaller roads. Regio sounds a good site/stop in Salamanca if there is a bus into town.

Hey BB, that does sound like a good trip, good on you and your missus. And a new entry in the dictionary: “POOTLING”, can’t wait to try that.
When we converted from caravan to MH 3 years ago, gosh that soon passed! We invested in a set of snow chains, but what a waste of money that was. Too heavy to carry and experience of using the right roads means we don’t need them.
Anyway, Happy New Year and enjoy that fabulous trip.
We can’t leave until late Feb and will be spending the Spring in BP, so might bump into you on your way back!
