Sad  to  hear  { Lord } Paddy  Ashdown  has  died  of  bladder  cancer.

Soldier,  Politician,  at  times a  bit  of  a  scamp  but  with  friends  across  the  Public  Services  of  all  persuasions.

Rest  In  Peace  Paddy

    Such sad news, must be so difficult for his family so near to Christmas.

    We won't be seeing him walking across the local fields with his rescue dog any more, so sad for his family.

    Sorry to hear of the death of Paddy Ashdown.  I did meet him once, fleetingly, just before a general election.  He was hoping to get a soundbite in front of TV cameras, but I managed to sidestep his question so nothing came of it. 🙂
