We had a 3 hr walk around part of Delamere Forest today......it's been a few years since we were last there. It was a lovely sunny day today but there was a cool breeze, and with a clear sky now it could well be cold night tonight. This is our last night here before we move up to near Preston for our last 3 days of this trip. Hope to be meeting up with our daughter & SIL over the weekend, if they're home.
Waiting to hear from a CL for the first stop on our Christmas/New Year trip as next 3 are already booked. Will sort out more when we see what the weather's doing in the new year.

We thougt it was a brilliant show - different but just as good as those with Miranda.
Audience participation was much encouraged so we sang along with gusto. It overran a bit, mainly because of the interaction between Steve and Phil and new boy Cormac.
They even mentioned an old gig in our local town.
We were on the front row, next to a gorgeous Guide Dog (and her owner). She sat still most of the time, then stood up with paws on the edge of the stage for the final bows.

We are away in the caravan this weekend a little bonus weekend as we weren't expecting to be away for a few weeks. We had to take the van down to Preston for its first service so on the way home we stopped off for a couple of nights. First service went well just a couple of things that got sorted under warranty but fixed no issues. The electric element in the fridge has packed in so the parts been ordered which will mean another triip to Preston in the new year still that will be another excuse for another break. No damp either so great and good service from Campbells Caravans. We can still use the fridge but need to run it on gas. Sitting here nice and cosey in the van just about to open a beer. Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend.

Well I had a different sort of day yesterday. I had arranged to meet up with 3 friends at John Clare's cottage in Helpston for a coffee and catch up. Two of us arrived and had a lovely gossip over a cup of coffee (and a piece of cake
). The other 2 caught the wrong bus and ended up in the wrong village
so we didn't see them. It was not the day we had anticipated.

Sunny today after 2 damp grey misty days. Feeling up to more than essentials so off to potter, needs ,more but very wet, in the garden. We had full brown bins until a week ago then both poorly when weather was decent so we won't go mad!
Only came on here whilst I finished a cuppa, didn't expect to be able to do anything as still supposed to be off 😉

Very rash day yesterday, we ordered a new motorhome. Been thinking about it for some time now but couldn't make up our minds whether to go for a van conversion. Having thought long and hard about it we decided that the accommodation would be a bit tight for us which outweighed the other benefits. Bailey have introduced a middle range called Alliance based on their Advance range so we have decided on the Alliance 66-2 which is quite a bit smaller than our current model but gives more room inside than a van conversion would. Delivery in March!

I would rather prefer Terry Brooks for MY fantasy reading thank you very much, DeeDee, but it was still very kind of you to make the suggestion
and now I'm off for a little snack then to WORK !!
Actually I'll be feeding a load of racing / homing pigeons while their owners are over Llandudno way, probably being robbed of fish 'n chips by some rude and very common Herring gulls.

Drier and a bit brighter today so have managed a few hours in the garden, well not quite garden but the gravel that runs from the side gate round the side of the house and to OH's shed.
The LPG tank is included in that area as well, the area is big enough to house 5 cars if only we could get access from the street to it. Spent 3 hours on hands and knees weeding. OH tackled the last of the leaves under the cherry tree, that's them all down now. Still got the back garden to do but that will have to wait for another day.
Time now for a shower and dressed as its the Christmas lights switch on at 6.15pm in town and more important is its out eldest granddaughters 12 birthday, her Mum, Dad and brother drove up late yesterday from Wiltshire, so a nice family get together for her.
Its starting to get dark outside now and the light is going in the house so time to switch the lights on, as I'm sat here in the dark trying to type on the laptop and I can't see the keyboard (good to know I can still touch type)
Have a good weekend folks.

Millie, 'getting on the wrong bus" is easily done
made me laugh as I can remember doing it not so long ago.
Glad you enjoyed your catch up anyway.

Weather was a bit grey first thing, but soon brightened up.
We had a lovely walk round Stowe Gardens in the sunshine. They also have a Christmas Fair in the Parlour rooms, nice assortment of stalls which change over after a few days. Enjoyed a cuppa sitting outside, it felt really warm in the sun.
Called at the Farm shop on the way home.
David: Hope you enjoy the new motorhome.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I think it might have been Age JVB
. The thing is that they had been there on the bus before, quite a few times

Bright and sunny here, first frost I've seen this autumn, thick on the shed roof at 0745 😲. No wind so nice early walk. Hoping to venture further afield walking today. Both feeling well enough now 😁😁😁.
Good to hear your OH is able to get out now HelenandTrevor 😁
Our town, sorry city
, lights up for Christmas tonight so I expect the windows will rattle again with the fireworks grrr. Why are they so noisy now rather than just pretty?
