This year we went to a small site for the summer solstice. We had a great view of the sunrise but next year we would like to see the solstice sunset. Can anyone recommend a site with the best sunset view please?

St Agnes down in Cornwall springs to mind. All depends on weather of course.

Tewethett Farm, Cornwall. North Ledaig, Scotland. In fact just about anywhere on the north coast of Cornwall/Devon or the west coast of Scotland - including the Hebrides.

Don't bank on anything as the weather can be very fickle.

This is the second week of June so nearly there? East Cowes IOW at Waverley Park. Quite high up.

This one really messes with my natural compass. Sun setting over the sea, how's that given the place taken?

Photo taken near this site at

    Latitude: 54.48293°
    Longitude: -0.5890

From a 'front row' pitch here you can watch both the sun rise and set over the sea In mid summer!

No definitely Cromer, cant find photo at the mo 😤. We were staying at Bacton with son and DIL2B last year, we drove into Cromer for dinner on Saturday evening. I was shocked to see it being an east coast girl myself.

Yes, photo taken of sun setting over the sea is Whitby. The site where you can witness both the rising sun and setting over the sea is on the headland at Saltwick Bay not far from Whitby Abbey.
