I said 4 days ago that all this is Boring Boring Boring, but still it rumbles on, surprised the moderator has not put an end to it, but just glancing through here are a some items i dont see addressed

    1. you in your nice new motor home/caravan with solar panels decide you dont want to use the EHU even though it is available and would like reduced fee,  who polices the fact that you are not supposed to use the EHU, solar panels dont work very well if the sun don't shine, are we suggesting wardens police this 24x7, oh! no, i suppose you want metering installed?, or worse still removing existing EHU's, more building of pitches without EHU, more cost, or do we take it on trust, I dont think so.

    2. you in your nice new motor home/caravan decide you dont want to use public toilet/washing facilities and would like a reduced fee, but secretly at dead of night you have the occasional shower etc, and you will still require facilities to dispose of your waste water/loo, ditto as 1 re policing.

    3. you have no use for the provided play park as you do not have children, but you could be a secret wacky backy smoker who likes to have a go on the swings at dead of night, not as weird as it may seem, believe me, ditto as 1 re policing.

the list goes on, dog walk, resturant facilities, bar facilities, swimming pool, shop.

a campsite is a campsite is a campsite, you know before you visit what facilities are available and how much you will have to pay for the privilage of using them,if you dont like it dont go, simple.

I think most of you writing on this forum forget that there is a whole army of folk out there who are maybe only able to visit a club site, once or twice per year, they are the ones who pay £25 - £35 per night for a reasonable site with as many facilities as possible inparticular open space so they can put up their awnings, bbq outside etc, they dont want a park looking like a car park with endless rows of MH's 3 mtrs apart, with lots of faceless people locked inside using their own facilities, club sites are regimental enough.

Lets not forget 1 of the main priorities of a campsite is to allow people to pursue their leisure pursuits away from inner cities etc, to do this we certainly don't want to be turning parks into carparks, plenty of them in Spain if that is what you want. If you don't, believe me, check out some none club sites, Highland Ends/Fresh Water beach, not for the faint hearted at peak season granted, but great for children and in some cases the not so young, been there got the tee shirt, grand children love it.

I’m surprised you’ve read it if it’s so boring, Rufs.

Although perhaps you haven’t. Your points 1, 2 and 3 are on the same theme and I’m sure the question of policing was raised much earlier on with a comment added about the inference of not trusting our fellow members. I’ll let you read it again to find it.

I think you speak for the majority of LV owners, and your point about not wanting EHU when it was an added charge the non E HU some"members" would do just as you mentioned when "no one was looking"

believe me TW i have not read it all and have no intention of doing so, i just saw a few salient points that at a glance i could not see had been addressed, but no harm in reiterating them as you have just proved to me that some of these posts become so boring and elongated that people forget what the post was all about in the first place.

If a thread reaches that stage and bores me, Rufs, I just stay out rather than dabbling in it while complaining it’s boring.

I suspect that the points had been addressed if you had troubled to read through. No matter

probably written by the site owners rather than the club. We're too trusting over here.

Hi everyone, I'm temporary closing this discussion to review posts as we are getting quite a few reports on this thread.

what ever floats your boat TW, and yes i agree we do become insular withouth social interaction, I just think that sometimes on this forum we seem to lose our way and our trains of thought become somewhat confused, but don't get me wrong, i have gleaned some very valuable information from this forum and would not like it to be closed down which could be the case if we don't keep it informative in a good way and certainly not argumentative which seems to happen in a number of cases. But i stick to my guns when i say there is an army of people out there who use club sites in entirely a different manner to many who are regulars on this forum and we should not forget this.
