Lake Konstanz recommendations?
We have decided to go to Lake Konstanz next summer and looking for site recommendations. Must be dog friendly but doesn’t have to be lakeside location. Any suggestions? Any suggestions with ACSI or similar discounts would also be appreciated.

Camping Salem ACSI Camping Card situated few miles back of Bodensee we found a very nice and friendly site at €17 per night. It has its own small restaurant for food/drink.
The first part if the site has small roads leading off the main road through the middle with 6 pitches in them some hedged and looked small, well for us anyway. But if yo drive along to the end of the road there are 2 open fields with serviced pitches. With the wet weather we pitched on the right hand side off the road. Showered and Toilets were very good and spotlessly clean.
It was not far to five to the Zeppelin Museum and Frierichshafen or to Meersburg or to catch the boat at Unteruberlingen to catch a ferry on the See.

We have stayed twice on the Bodensee but on both occasions on the lake side. However its not unusual in German and Austria for lake side campsites not to accept dogs that is certainly the the case with Camping William. The other site we stayed at was Park Camping near Lindau but not sure of the status of dogs there.

I was going to suggest Camping Mexico at Bregenz at the Austrian end of the lake - because it's a small family run site with just 30 or 40 pitches, right on the lake side, and we liked that end of the lake best - but it's not on the ACSI list and I have no idea whether they accept dogs, so that may rule it out.
