A site for new year
Looking for some suggestions for a great site for new year.
We are a family with a dog and have for the last few years gone away over new year.
So after some new suggestions.
the ideal is....
some where close to walk to in the evening
a beach close drive away
We have stayed walking distance from Cowes on the IoW, Sandringham and in the peak district.
Thanks

Edinburgh, but you'll be lucky to get in now. Some lovely beaches further East along coast.

Padstow Touring Park.

Hillhead near Brixham or similar in the area. You might even get tickets for the celebrations if you let them know you're interested but a lot of people go there just for a New Year break, all hardstandings in winter. It may be fully booked already but phone the office for info.

Something screwy there I suspect.

'Pitches that are currently available for booking over the Christmas period on the website or via the contact centre are for those members wishing to stay on site but not attended the seasonal functions. If you are wanting to book for the seasonal functions please contact the complex manager on 01263 514 520 when the site opens in March.
For members wishing to arrive on Christmas or New Years Day, please note that the office will not be open. You may have to stay in the Late Night Arrivals area. Please contact the site staff for further information and instructions.'

ET, perhaps all pitches are booked from 20th Dec till site closes, perhaps 4th Jan, and then the site reopens in early to mid Feb....just a thought.

Speculative booking perhaps!

I thought Englethwaite Hall was fully booked recently because the whole page was orange. I tried again later and made a successful booking. They have ONE grass pitch which was closed due to weather so at first glance the whole site was booked up! They told me they would take it up with the club as I wasn't the only person to think there was no space! It could happen at other sites where grass is closed for winter?
