Site Recommendations Please.

Planning a trip to Provence next June. Can anyone personally recommend sites east of Aix, but west of Frejus, back from the frenzy of the coast please? We know the Luberon well, so want to go further east. We tow, so easy caravan access is preferred, but not too close to motorways.

    Aix itself is a must for a few days - any one of the sites there will do. Then is there much of interest between Aix and Frejus? 

    But west of Aix you might like Camping Felix de la Bastide on the shores of the big lagoon and close to a stretch of coast which certainly will not be frenzied in June. Their website might tempt you !

    Thanks for your reply. We know Aix quite well, so wanted to go further east, We thought Castellane might work, but the one review of the CC site reports a difficult towing route to it, via Route Napoleon. Ideally we like to be in the quiet provencale countryside, with  few real tourist attractions around, having a nice quiet rest in the sun and a few villages nearby. Without having to tow on too many twisty hill roads. 

    Ill gave a look at the web site though!
